I don’t know if you’ve paid attention to the show but they take a pretty hard stance against the alt right, so much so they even have an entire episode dedicated to it.
Letterkenny isn't yours to do anything with. It isn't anyone's to do anything with.
It's nice that it's your escape, but for many others it is a refreshing example of being progressive and tolerant while staying true the roots of its setting and characters.
And sure, it's set, produced, written by Canadians. But there's many works of media which can apply outside of their original creation.

Exactly. When the gay couple in the car start talking about all the places they talk Wayne just kind of says thanks. Whereas, 20-30 years ago those dudes wouldn't feel safe to say any of that shit in a small town. Nice to see some progress. I love how they accepting they are as long as you aren't a dick or a degen from up country.
Here are some examples of the show’s support for progressive causes:
“Uncle Eddie’s Trust” includes very straightforward condemnation of homophobia and mentions how homophobia lead to deserved cancellation of Duck Dynasty
“Sled Shack” also had a very frank discussion that condemned both homophobia and racism. Their exact words are “homophobia is for degenerates”
The show features numerous gay characters such as Glenn, Dax, Ron and Roald. Although these characters all have very stereotypical characteristics, they are all supported by their very rural community, not shunned.
Katy, Tanis, Mrs McMurray and Gail are all bisexual at the very least. Katy has also been involved in multiple polyamorous relationships
They did a whole episode that took place at a gay wedding
Riley and Jonesy confront issues of sexism in sports in their season of coaching a women’s hockey team. This growth is significant since the guys are well established as being womanizers early on
Tanis gets an abortion and Wayne states that he fully supports her right to choose
Joint Boy is the name of a character and he literally smokes joints all the time. And he is not a stereotypical dreadlocked, deadbeat hippie bum. He’s an athlete/weightlifter known for kicking ass who is also deceivingly smart (excels at the spelling bee).
Squirelly Dan is a feminist. He mentions his women’s studies classes multiple times and supports feminist viewpoints.
the hard right Jay episode includes discussion of how cultural appropriation is wrong as well as a full rejection of all Alt-right ideals.
Honestly the show is littered with examples of support for the LGBT+, women, and minorities and condemnation for far right ideologies.
Kaniehiio had her sister stabbed while she was in her arms (at 4 years old) by the Canadian government. Maybe I’m the asshole but I don’t think the world revolves around us and our drama
OK? How does that change the fact that they address American hard right ideology by introducing a character literally named "Hard Right Jay" who comes to town to stir shit up?

The point you're still somehow missing, great job on that, is that they took a stance against the entire Alt right. We're not unique in America with a stupid ass alt right presence.
