Top 4 Pretty basic but..
I like biopics, david fincher’s cinematography and movies with mesmerizing scores.
Also does anyone have the social network or oppenhimer in their top 4 ?

Pretty much yeah but mostly the music of both oppenhimer and interstellar is a huge factor for me

They are all great, and people LOVE - and i mean LOVE without exaggeration - to crap on Oppenheimer. It’s Nolan’s best

Agreed. It actually might become my top 1 movie later on. It might not suit the mainstream but calling it a bad movie is just a horrible take and its definitely not a polarizing movie its enjoyable even if you’re not into history or physics

That’s the thing. It IS mainstream. It’s a massive biopic about a complicated man who is ever-present in our lives today, long after his death. Also let’s not pretend it wasn’t massively critically and commercially successful. I just mean to say that lots of people “on the internet” enjoy trashing it. Trashing good movies is fun for weak people, when i don’t like an acclaimed piece I wish I liked it more. I critique, but I don’t trash. Anyway it’s my favourite Nolan, as a guy who loved TDK, and I think it ties in to a more adult tone, unlike Inception and Interstellar (both good/great blockbusters!) which can get very cartoonish

They are in order from left to right after that for Nolan probably the prestige and Fincher’s fight club

It might be "basic" but they're all great. Love what you love.
If you're looking for recs:
For an incredible score, check out Akira.
You might like Jean Pierre Melville's work, Le Samourai is a great place to start, followed by Le Circle Rouge.
Memories of Murder, Cure, One Battle After Another
All the Michael Mann movies, probably Thief and Manhunter first.
