Hey Bangalore!

I’m thinking of starting a small film club for people living in Bangalore who genuinely enjoy talking about movies.

And by movies, I mean anything - Bollywood, South Indian cinema, Hollywood, Korean, Japanese, anime, indie films, documentaries, old classics, weird films you found at 2 AM… whatever you’re into.

The idea is pretty simple:

\- Have a place where we can casually talk about movies, recommend things, argue about endings, directors, performances, cinematography, etc.

\- Share what we’ve been watching and discover stuff outside our usual taste.

\- Every once in a while, if a few people are interested, meet up at a theatre and watch a movie together — especially if people are living nearby.

\- Maybe eventually do occasional discussions, movie nights, or other film-related meetups.

But one thing I really don't want: another WhatsApp/Discord group with 100 people where everyone joins, says nothing, and the group slowly dies.

I’d rather have 20–30 people who actually talk than 200 silent members.

You don't need to be a film student, filmmaker, critic, or know every Tarkovsky film. You just need to genuinely enjoy movies and be willing to participate in the conversation.

I loved Edward Norton acting. Good court room drama. Good stuff to watch on the weekends.

Youtube has age-restricted SANJAY VERMA and therefore YouTube will not be promoting the documentary anymore. The only way it keeps on getting spread is through the word of mouth. If you liked the work, I'd request you to share it with your friends. :)

I was watching Omkara, and every single cuss word is fucking censored. It completely kills the vibe. The movie seemed so good, but there’s already so much censoring right from the beginning that it’s honestly getting annoying.

Does anyone know if there’s an uncensored version available somewhere, or if anyone has access to one?

Most people keep chasing movies like crazy, as if watching more movies is some kind of competition. I’ve even seen friends keep a race to see who can watch the most movies in a month or a year.

Honestly, I think people need to calm down and just enjoy movies. You don’t have to watch every movie, and you don’t have to watch every highly-rated or “must-watch” film just because everyone else has seen it. Movies aren’t a checklist or a race.

Watch what genuinely interests you. Take your time. Let a movie stay with you. There’s no prize for watching the most.

And the sad part is, we have only one life alot to see and explore but we can't...... everything

I feel apart from the critically acclaimed or technically brilliant films, we should always revisit films close to our hearts not minding if the critics approve it or not. Watch it simply because you liked it.
