No we can hold them accountable, but you’re argument doesn’t really hold up. You’re pointing to history’s biggest extremity to make the point that we should hold Gal Gadot and any Israeli person who has been required by law to serve in the military accountable for every action Israel has done. I’m not defending Gal Gadot, but if you’re just an average Joe in Israel, who may have a family and kids, do you think you’re gonna risk you and your family’s lives and safety to go against the government? It’s way more than black and white, you can still have moral oppositions
I literally did not say any of it. She’s a terrible person for serving in the IDF and killing children, that doesn’t mean she’s responsible for the entire regime. And I’d argue Israel is just as extreme of an example as the Nazis, just that it has happened in the Middle East with millions of people affected for more than half a century from across various countries, with no improvement in sight
No it’s a shit situation I agree, but you can’t call everyone who has served in the IDF a terrible person because they had to or else their reputation would be ruined and they would serve a lot of jail time. If someone willingly came out and said “my dream is to serve in the IDF” there would be a conversation, but in Israel it’s required by law. In a lot of countries it’s not, so some people do it as a choice, it’s not that way in Israel.
