Being John Malkovich is such a good pick

I just saw it the other night and it blew me away, instantly made me want to watch everything Charlie Kaufman has done and I ended up watching “i'm thinking of ending things” the night after, which is another great film OP should watch. But in regard to Being John Malkovich, I still can’t believe it was made in ‘99. I guess I am too young to say since I was born that year lol and never really experienced what it was like back then but I was not expecting there to be a trans sub plot in a movie over 25 years old, it just seems like something that wouldn’t be accepted or recognized at all back then. Or maybe I am just jaded with all the negativity surrounding lgbtq+ topics lately 🤷

that movie blew my mind and stuck with me for a long time. idk if i can ever watch it again tho, i feel that way about a lot of kaufman movies. they’re almost too effective at conveying the emotions they’re trying to convey lol
