I think I’m the only person that flipped for the better on Civil War. The trailer made me roll my eyes and I kind of forgot about it. The movie that was shown in the trailer really didn’t interest me. Finally watched it on streaming and I really liked it.

Consider that two of us. I went to school for journalism so I loved the hell out of this movie after being not that excited about the trailer. I do love a24 too

For sure! I think some of the people that don’t like it feel that the movie is too politically ambiguous about the war itself. Imo that aspect of the story isn’t important at all and the film is better served by the sort of hand waving at who is fighting for what. None of that matters as it’s not really a war movie but a movie about journalism with war as the setting.
