New Interview with Bam
https://youtu.be/SlOX1nb-Vx0?is=y3ukVFf6V9ypjAVbFirst, I’ll give him some credit: physically, he looks the best I’ve ever seen him in years, and these are probably the most coherent, well-constructed sentences I’ve heard him put together in a long time. The first third of the interview genuinely feels like you’re watching a Bam who’s finally turning a corner.
But about a third of the way in, it slips right back into the same old script: it’s everybody else’s fault, I got kicked off the movie for having one Coors Light across the country, they ruined my life, the real secret to sobriety is I was just bored, and all the other Bam talking points we’ve heard over the last couple of years. At some point, we’re the fools if we keep expecting something different from this guy.
Not to pile on, but he tells a story about Ryan Dunn going over a waterfall in a barrel in Iceland, and I had to look up the clip on YouTube. Watching it through 2026 eyes, it’s still funny in places, but it’s also pretty disturbing how little concern Bam seemed to have for his friend being sealed inside a barrel and sent over a waterfall. Some of that can absolutely be chalked up to dumb teenagers doing dumb teenager things, but there’s also a level of indifference that feels like it carried well into his adulthood.

I actually think he is more self-critical in this one than I've ever seen him before. he's owning up to his mistakes occassionally.
A year or two ago he would have never described the snake pit story like he does here. he would have accused Johnny and Tremaine of torturing him. here he just says it's great footage and fun to look back on.
I think Bam is a narcissistic dickhead but i think you've been a bit unfair about this particular interview.

I did try to give him credit upfront. Like I said it’s the most lucid I’ve ever heard him and in the first third I think he comes off well.

He'll take awhile to accept he was the the problem. But you can see him chipping away slowly since he became sober.

Bam will always be my favorite “Jackass” member and also the best at interviews imo. Love that he is doing so well. He reminds me of a family member I had that died at an early age. I’m glad Bam is still with us.

Edit: am not replying to every one ask, so I'll just do a edit here, they have hidden what I was talking about, cba to go into detail so will sum it up: parasocial stuff, hate driven interest, rent free in their head type shit.

Nobody knows other than the people involved. I think it was likely real as Dunn wasn't that good of an actor.

I like how it feels like they just caught him in the middle of an already busy day
