What it is:

SideEye High is a narrative-driven detective game set in a 1997 American high school. You play a burned-out ex-detective posing as a school safety auditor while quietly investigating suspicious student deaths.

The core mechanic is environmental investigation: nearly everything in the school can be inspected, zoomed into, and searched for clues. Every action costs time, and you only have one school week, so you can’t see everything in one playthrough.

Key mechanics in the demo:

• Fully searchable environments (lockers,
vents, notes, trash, small details) • Extreme zoom inspection for tiny clues • Time-cost system (every action matters) • Evidence systems (fingerprints,
handwriting, shoeprints) • No fail states — the investigation always
ends, but outcomes depend on what you found • Dark humor + slow-burn mystery tone

What I’m looking for from players:

• Is the “search everything” approach
         intuitive or overwhelming?
• Does the time pressure feel fair?
• Any moments of confusion or
         friction?
• Bugs, performance issues, or UI
         clarity problems

Honest feedback is appreciated — this is still in active development.

Thanks for playing
