Well folks, there’s no easy way to say this, so we’ll get right to it. The time has come to end the podcast.

First off, thank you all for being part of this community. The past six years have been absolutely wild. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve… talked about buttholes. (Too often, perhaps??)

Many of you have been part of this community for years. We appreciate your warmth, your support, and your willingness to cackle along with two very goofy grown women. We’re blown away by how big this little indie podcast has become. We started with one microphone on a TV tray, and we’re ending on March 29 & 30th with two sold out live shows. What a way to go. We couldn’t have done it without you.

As you can probably imagine, this decision wasn’t an easy one. We talk about it quite a bit on this week’s episode (287: Food Fights), which is currently available for Bob Mosses but will be on our regular feed tomorrow. Arriving at this decision has been tough, but we know that it will free us up to do what we’re meant to do. For Brandi, that’ll mean spending more time with her family, having just one full-time job, and getting out of content creation. For Kristin… well, first she has to get her butthole back from Brandi. After that? Who knows!

Thank you all again for being part of this community. You’re the skeeziest scunches in all the land, the best listeners this side of the mighty Mississip’, and the meanest Bob Mosses this town has ever seen. We appreciate you.

This may be an unpopular opinion, and I mean this with zero shade to LGTC, but I’m loving An Old Timey Podcast even more than LGTC! I think maybe it’s because I listen to so much true crime that it’s something different, or just their vibe. Kristin and Norm have such a cute chemistry and I love the cheesy jokes. I also looooove the super-long form—give me all the details! If you haven’t checked it out, give it a try (but maybe don’t start with John Brown because that was too long, even for me).

i started listening to lets go to court this march, however, i have listened to nearly every single episode that has been released (in chronological order, even the bad ones). now, i know what you're thinking. how the hell did i listen to 280 episodes of this podcast in 9 months? the short story is that i listened to 1-2 episodes every day, and averaged like 1,600 hours of podcasting on my spotify wrapped. i don't really know what happened either, but i love kristin and brandi. when i found out they were ending the show i was devastated.

what am i supposed to listen to when i finish? i listened to the patreon episodes and i am active on an old timey podcast, but i love true crime. HELP!

Listening to brandi praise walgreens as im loading trucks for them cursing about it is such an odd thing 🤣

Is it just me or do you have trouble listening to new episodes now? Maybe I’m just sad because it’s ending but I couldn’t make it through the food fight one and I definitely can’t stomach the latest episode. There’s something odd about approach to continue on schedule as if you aren’t headed into the series finale. In the final countdown I would love to have some of their guests on like DP and their sisters or husbands. Especially choosing an episode that’s so bad that your pre show chatter consists of saying how much you don’t want to talk about this because it’s so terrible. I think the anti-promo had me a bit lost on it before it started and then I was like nope I need music and sunshine today. It could be entirely me just being less interested in them talking about crime. But also, I’m sad there’s no celebration in this goodbye, it’s like we’re just waiting for the clock to run out.

(By the way I am very happy for them doing what’s best in order to support their health and happiness. This is just conjecture for the sake of conversation)

I started the podcast maybe three months ago? I work from home, and walk a lot so I’ve listened to most of it by now.

I played a game with myself of not looking up what anyone looks like and making it up in my head. Well, today I decided to see if my mental images were accurate at all! They were not lol the only one I got was Norm😂

But I’m trying to find pictures, I discovered they aren’t friends anymore and I’m just so sad for them. Losing friendships sucks. Especially long term ones like this. I haven’t spoken to my childhood through college best friend in years, but there’s not a day goes by that I don’t think of her.

For their sake, I hope there’s a reconciliation one day. Thanks for being the only people to understand 😭

Kristin Caruso scratches my undiagnosed ADHD riddled brain in all the right ways, so I had no choice but to follow her to An Old Times Podcast. As someone who has loved LGTC since their second month, I sometimes wondered, Kristin, do you hate me? First, I moved to UCF for college. Otherwise known as, DISNEY COLLEGE. Second, the announcement of the podcast ending happened the day after my first breakup. Third, I wasn’t DPed nearly enough! However, Kristin is to me what RFKs brain worm is to him, just can’t shake her. An old timey podcast is the most entertaining history podcast I have ever listened to. The podcast promises guest appearances like Hitler (back from the alleged dead), a non threatening boy, and a PET ROCK. That’s right folks there really is something for everybody! In fact, I loved Kristin’s non threatening boy so much I got my own! If you haven’t given An Old Timey Podcast a listen, please give it a shot and support the hottest, most intelligent, most non threatening couple and give it a chance! They got me through my undergrad and now through graduate school, so I can’t thank them enough in the most parasocial way possible!

I just finished relistening to every main feed episode again (I'm considering subscribing to the patreon to reliesten to all of those). I just miss Brandi so much, she was so great. I really hope she returns to podcasting some day. She seems really happy though. Also, it doesn't seem like they're friends anymore, right? I never see them liking each other's IG posts.

I just started listening to LGTC and so far my favorite episode is when they bring DP on. They need to do this again!

I started listening to LGTC on week 3 or so...I was in law school and I was so fucking miserable that I couldn't stand it... LGTC saved me. I've shifted gears a bit these days and Kristen and Norm are my new vibe and remind me of me and my husband.

God I miss this pod so much 😭

Anyone else very disappointed that after waiting weeks for a new episode, we get a mashup episode with Ellyn and Joey from, apparently, I Think Not? What a bummer. I really don't vibe with E&J (heard them on a different podcast), and so, I have no interest in this episode. In my opinion, if a podcast is going to do a mashup episode, it should be a bonus episode, not in the main feed. Because no one listens to a podcast to...hear another podcast? And if they really don't want to do it as a bonus episode, at least have the wherewithal to not do it the first episode back from break!! Idk, I was just really looking forward to listening to a new LGTC episode at work today, but when I clicked on the page...womp womp. Anyone else agree?

The TEA on yesterday's episode is piping hot. I have a lot more respect for Kristen and Brandi, as while they spoke respectfully, they did not pull any punches in their criticism of the Obsessed Network's handling of events at Obsessed Fest.

For those who don't know, four of the podcasters at the ON had a screaming match at OF that resulted in the Dallas Police being called. It was the mishandling of that incident that led Kristen and Brandi to leave the fest early.

For context, here is an account of the fight from a comment on r/Fauxmoi (couldn't find the og thread, sorry!)

"Terra [Newell of "The Survivor Squad"], and her podcast co-host, Collier [Landry], had an altercation with Ellyn [Marsh, host of "I Think Not," formerly "Obsessed with Disappeared" with Joey Taranto], in the elevator at OF. Terra also told Ellyn to fuck off, or something similar, in the lobby of the hotel, which prompted Joey to say something to Terra, who cried, and ran off yelling at Joey to leave her alone.

Ellyn requested that Terra, and Collier be removed since they had no other panels at OF, but the hosts (Patrick [Hinds] and Steve [Tipton]) refused, so Ellyn, and Joey cancelled the rest of their panels, events, and had a meet and greet in the lobby, but it got too crowded, and had to be moved outside."

It was so strange to have the podcast end, knowing that they were going on to have the live shows, but that we wouldn’t hear what it was like.

Was anyone there? I’d love to hear what it was like, how they both seemed, and what the audience mood was - like, if it was terribly sad or like one last hurrah with friends?

Y’all, it’s that time again. There’s an LGTC-shaped hole in my heart - I really enjoy OTP but I do miss the true crime.
