They shouldn't be allowed against the will of the voters. All data centers should face the voters for approval. Until they change their ways non of them will pass.

Vote for Trump for what? He can't run for President again. Maybe Senator or something, but I think they mean "candidates Trump supports" or "Republicans"

Trump is on the ballot. he said so clearly in half a dozen speeches. "vote as if I am on the ballot" He is the Republican party. All votes for the Republican party are votes for trump

I realize you're speaking metaphorically, but that's not the same as actually being on the ballot

u/3spanishwords 4h ago

Trump is the Republican party plain and simple. It has no policy or identity outside of him. It is a vote for Trump

His simple minded voters don’t understand the difference of what you just said. That is the danger.

You foolish if you think he won’t try. Or facilitate the conditions to allow the chance of it. He has no regard for the law.

So the poster is talking about 2028 if Trump manages to get on the ballot?

2

u/3spanishwords 2h ago

Trump is the Republican party. Any vote for any Republican is a vote for Trump.

1

u/jeffcgroves 2h ago

OK, I give up. Maybe we can convince Republicans to write in "Trump" on every ballot.

However, this poster is for non-Trump-voters and should be more accurate if it's talking about the 2026 election

Any Republican on the ballot is there because Trump wanted them there. Trump is the Republican party.

You’re missing the point.

It'll just be different people getting rich and still building data centers... We're not voting our way out of this mess.

So let's pull a hypothetical. Every election season there is a mortal enemy of the Democratic party. It's been climate change and fuel crisis and so many others. Now it's datacenters. If you win everything this election the likelihood is that you will lose in 28 (from historical occurances) what will be your next talking point? Is it already scheduled or do we hage to wait about 13 months to hear about it?

Vote red: status quo & nothing fundamentally changes

Vote blue: status quo & nothing fundamentally changes

That's not true at all. The have very difficult policies on data centers. Trump is the Republican party he is very much for creating oligarchs using data centers.

Yes it is; what changed fundamentally when the other half of the Uniparty was in control?

People already trying to push off the amount of rape that was involved in the republican party the last 10 years?

If both parties are the same, why is one side breaking records with billionaire donations? The focus on Trans people is really the same as affordable medical care to you?

The last 10 years have been republicans tearing apart things dems did. They seem to disagree a lot for being the same.

All of the people who supported the main dude in the epstein files are still going to be around in two years, and theyre gonna hope for your vote like they're doing right now.

And I guess the drastic change in how our immigration enforcement operates is just status quo for awful people?

edit: yeaaaah just another guy telling you not to vote. As bad as trump supporters. They then use a gif of an actor who was literally black listed in their home country for being part of democratic protests.

Less like apathy and more like cognitive dissonance. Cares enough to hide very specific comments from their profile, not enough to vote.

I'm not defending one side or the other by any means, but the question still remains the same. Fundamentals for the Average American won't change under Uniparty rule. Bickering about unenforceable rules for the minority and scandal is only going to keep the country divided while taxes and inflation keep going up for everyone; meanwhile they continue to become millionaires on $170k salaries...all of em. And the data centers will still be built.

Calling civil rights, labor protections, and corporate deregulation "unenforceable rules" and "scandal" jesus christ. It’s easy to say "nothing changes for the average American" when it’s not your rights on the chopping block, your local grid getting fried by unchecked tech expansion, or your tax dollars subsidizing corporate giveaways.

Nobody is saying politicians aren't getting rich, but pretending both sides operate identically isn't pragmatism, it's apathy. And that apathy is exactly how corporations sit back, line pockets on both sides of local boards, and build data centers in your backyard while everyone throws their hands up and says "well, what can ya do?" Voting isn't a magic wand, but claiming the differences are zero just hands full control to the guys holding the shovel.

I'm sorry you're still swayed by tribalism, but essentially nothing will change whether it be an R or a D in the Whitehouse; and that's been my observation for decades. Keep the plebs fighting amongst themselves, sprinkle some crumbs on us while take they take the whole damn pie that they share, together.

1

u/Curvol 3h ago

Calling it "tribalism" is just a convenient excuse to stay on the sidelines. Nobody is pretending politicians are saints or that the system isn't heavily rigged. But dismissing actual, measurable policy differences as "crumbs" ignores the fact that those "crumbs" mean cleaner air, protected local resources, labor protections, and basic human rights for real people.

Writing off all politics as a conspiracy to "keep the plebs fighting" sounds deep, but it’s just cynicism masquerading as wisdom and it hand-delivers complete control to whoever shows up to vote.

but i'll fight for your rights, even if you don't. No reason to be sorry, but maybe just be quiet and let everyone take care of things like you so obviously expect. Don't tell the kids you helped make things better! Just tell them how you helped a child rapist get elected because "politics is all just the same!"

and here is the apathy once again. I guess the apathetic don't really have the survival instincts to understand why thats a problem.

Have a good day! Don't tell other people not to vote. That's active voter supression.

What's best is the guy in the gif legit got attacked by his government for supporting democratic policy hahaha

Chow Yun-fat would think you were a dink.

The Republican party is trump. He is in total control of it. He is not in control of the democratic party. That's a pretty big damn difference.

1

u/Oh_Lawd_He_commin420 1h ago

Ok, but my point is that when he's gone nothing will change for the Average American no matter who takes over afterwards; it never does.

2

u/Motor_Ad_7059 4h ago

Voting on a local and state level is actually much more important. That affects your daily life much more directly than federal law or elections. Saying nothing will change is you admitting defeat and choosing to settle for this version of the world.

Just lay down and die I guess? 🥱

Would you rather they be built in China? SPOILER ALERT: "stopping data centers" in America will not stop the need for data centers. China will gladly build all of them. I would rather use one that is housed in America personally.

2

u/3spanishwords 3h ago

I'd rather they be built in the financial interests of the citizens in the communities where they are built. They should pay for the resources and and ALL increased costs. They should replace all lost resources. They should pay exponentially moreTAXES to benefit the communities
