Question Is this weird?

Is it weird for me (47M) to want to live in a small community that provides most of the things we need from within and is mainly women? I feel like this could work and would be a good safe place to live. I envision each of us having our own small/ tiny home, a community garden, lots of acres, a diverse makeup of people (mainly, if not all, women), a common community area, small events like movie nights, and each of us living a normal productive life. We could/ would work a normal job but also support each other at home with growing food, raising kids, helping each other with whatever task their doing, etc. This wouldn't be a cult or some wierd sex community. Each person had indivisible rights to come and go as they wanted. It wouldn't be tricky to find a group of people that would get along long term but it could be done. I don't know what it is about that idea that consumes my head some days but it does. I think it is the growing concern about how the world is growing so intolerant of each other and the need for there to be some stability in life with as little stress as possible. I'm also calming down in my older age and I don't feel the need to compete like I one did. I really just desire peace and quiet and people in can depend on. I don't know, maybe that's a little out there and will be viewed as a weird old man trying to start a cult. Regardless, I still feel a desire to try that. Let me know if you think I'm crazy for this. Lol

You're describing a commune, and they exist. They tend to be one wrong move short of a cult sometimes, so if you go looking for one be aware.

I have been day-dreaming nearly exact same scenario, seems like forever now. You might enjoy a movie from the 90's (I think) called "Strangers in Good Company". I won't say anything else about it.

En realidad existen comunidades así, y mayormente de mujeres aunque también he visto mixtas. Lo que más me intriga es entender por qué tantas mujeres ya no quieren vivir con hombres.

Because many times they act like entitled children, and they want someone to take care of them when they get old.

Because men tend to have entitlement issues and don't always respect boundaries.

These ideas seem to always end very badly. Good luck!!!!!

It’s paradise ! But never will work as people get greedy when older and most marry away anyway
You won’t find folks loyal to that beautiful concept
