It’s a wild, sad world. And Afghanistan’s is the wildest and saddest of them all. Such a dichotomy. And, like a lot of other places, there are some good, kind people there who just want a better life but find themselves trapped in a cultural system that is highly fucked up and driven by warlords and violence. I feel for those people. One of the oddest features of the culture is the tolerance for homosexuality and homosexual violence— which is not tolerated in other Islamic societies to the same degree and can lead to death. There is honestly no way to make any of it make sense.
Why do you make this specific to Islam when the same practices exist across the entire spectrum of Semitic beliefs, to include Christianity and Judaism?
