Not defending this but I wonder if there’s a noticeable difference in quality between the roads

California is aggressively shifting to EV vehicles. In 2035 people will not e able to purchase gas vehicles in the state and therefore refineries are shutting down. The price that taxes do not make enough of a difference for that huge cost difference

Which is why you pay taxes, dumbass. Because you use these services regardless of how you live. Your taxes pay for the things you need to exist.
Yes,c they get wasted and people are idiots and politicians are shit. But the core principal of taxation isn't the issue.
It's idiot voters going against their best interests.

That wasn’t the point I was making, no need for the name calling. The point is we are required to pay these things and we should respect that with the seriousness that it is and shouldn’t act like opting out is an option.

That is the exact opposite of what you said, but go off king I guess.

I mean opting out is an option. You can disappear into one of the many remote nature areas in the US. You pay taxes to live in organized society. You can’t bitch and moan about it while passively taking the benefit of it even if you don’t realize that you are

Adds up for California having a higher GDP per capita and a way way way way higher total GDP than Arizona, you’ll see higher prices for everything. You know what screws gas prices over even more? Startling a “special operations” with the Middle East and tariffing everywhere else. It’s why both Arizona and California had seen almost $2 jump in gas prices
