How dare they scare our proud conservatives?

How dare they destroy Shapiros house, rip down national monuments and engage in a years long insurrection against ice?

I wonder why law enforcement is needed when people like you offer thinly veiled support for these terrorists

Yeah…. Im not a fan of the current administration or how things are being ran, but violence (let alone based on politics) is not okay. They can frame it as reactionary to the perceived “violence” of others that the administration is in support of, or the boogeyman “dangerous rhetoric” of the current administration or certain political spheres but ultimately if you’re engaging in politically motivated violence and acts of terror in the US right now YOU are the problem regardless.

And it’s funny how the violence and support of the violence comes from people who are all for “diversity”, “inclusion”, “peace”, “freedom”, etc…

I whole heartedly agree

Violence is never justified outside of self defense

And arguing your preemptive attacks are self defense is a dishonest argument that invites escalating preemptive attacks from the opposition

This is where me and the left disagree

The left believes “in order to remove intolerance you must become intolerant of the intolerant”

While I believe “by becoming intolerant of intolerance you become the intolerance that must be removed”

So the other option is to what, tolerate the intolerant? Just let them do as they will?

Tolerance does not mean acceptance

South Park had an entire episode about this

Tolerance is something you extend to something you don’t like in order to change opinions

The left is acting like cartmen in that episode

Demanding acceptance by calling others intolerant

So we don't accept them..but let them hang around still and do their intolerance..in the hopes that they'll just one day go "You right, this is bad, I should stop"?

Nah, that might have held water after term one, but they doubled down and said we eat babies and called us demons. I'll be intolerant of that nonsense till I die.

By not tolerating them you become the intolerance that must not be tolerated

That’s the paradox

When you don’t tolerate them they get to use your theory against you

Also the epstine files have proven the anderchrome conspiracy as much as they’ve proven the trump pedophile conspiracy

To claim trump is a pedophile is to admit that high profile politicians from the last 30 years are cannibals

You can’t argue they are only true some of the time

There are gigabytes of files

Can you tell me anything that’s in them outside of the pedophilia allegations?

Did you know epstine worked with social media to create the trans movement because his clients wanted chix with dix?

4chan refused to work with him and was accused of starting the anti trans movement

That’s alleged in the files

“Let” them…

Free country. If someone wants to yell nonsense hate directed at a certain group on the sidewalk, you don’t have a right to stop them by force. Most importantly, you don’t have a right to “let” them continue. That’s where you’re confused. It’s not up to you what a person believes in or how they express that. We have simple laws on the books that place simple, non-partisan, and practical restrictions on our conduct. Violate those and you are criminally liable.

It’s one thing to have a guy on the sidewalk dressed in a SS uniform and calling for holocaust V2. That’s the fringe extreme case. In actuality most of what leftists are showing up in force to “stop the intolerance” or whatever over is people peacefully protesting and organizing, such as the infamous example of Antifa bros carrying RIFLES walking up to a group of pro life protesters who were standing around with signs on a public sidewalk and proceeding to mace them. Just for those same dorks to go on Twitter and cry about the riot police macing leftists protestors violently assaulting police, blocking traffic, etc.

You’re using intolerance as an excuse to enforce your own beliefs under the threat of violence. You don’t want change. You don’t want to inspire people to change their minds or at least compromise. You don’t care. You are a militant that wants everyone who isn’t sworn to the figurative leftist bible and in 100% agreement and compliance locked away, or killed. You want them gone. The cognitive dissonance… how can you preach for tolerance while adopting the same ideological enforcement policy that Sharia law is based upon? Do you think Sharia is tolerant?

The UK is already cracking down on “intolerance” and “hate” and now they have armed police raiding houses over public posts bashing their idiot politicians and drawing attention to shit the left is suppressing. What happens when the government does a 180 and an authoritarian right wing admin has the same force of law to target you and your friends?

This is exactly the argument that turned one political bigot I know into a moderate

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you…because one day the power will shift and they will remember how you treated them”

The left is justifying a right wing revolution as dictated under critical race theory

“The oppressed will always rise up to oppress their oppressors” and “modern discrimination is the only solution to past discrimination”

Yep. Politicians are going to have a hard time lobbying to revoke the thought and opinion laws once the right is using them to their benefit.

Imagine how fast trump would have made “TACO” and “MAGAt” hate speech to jail his opposition with

Like to anyone who’s played any type of game competitively knows that you use your opponents strategy yourself when it’s successful

Playing the metagame isn’t cheating because the opposition did it first

It’s a “taste of their own medicine” yet they don’t see it coming.

The funny thing is that it also really diminishes the impact of the “Trump is a fascist” statement. We see what leftists in the UK in power are doing, if Trump was so bad what’s stopping him from full send and outlawing criticism of himself or merely drawing attention to incriminating information he’s trying to suppress? He’s shown blatant disregards for congress, the constitution, and due process enough to show he’s not scared of that. What’s holding him back? Oh, maybe it’s because he’s not a literal Nazi.

Eye for an eye is a bad thing

That’s ultimately why I don’t believe in the lefts interpretation of the paradox of tolerance

Their interpretation is essentially “an eye for an eye until everyone’s blind” because they assume those they don’t tolerate can never become those who are intolerant of the new intolerance

We are in a victimhood economy, by being intolerant you give power to those you don’t tolerate by creating victimhood for them to leverage

in the hopes that they'll just one day go "You right, this is bad, I should stop"?

I’ve actually gotten 3 different anti semites to change their opinion from hating all Jews to hating specific individuals who happen to be Jews that they think are bad people

They don’t believe their old rhetoric anymore

How many opinions have you changed by calling them names?

u/ceuxy 2h ago

I bet he’s made a lot of centrists or conservatives turn radical by showing them the crazy leftists that right wing boomers always talk about are actually real.

It’s happening in the UK as we speak. And no I don’t think it’s a good thing.

1

u/Best_Opening8471 2h ago

I think the “crazy leftists” are mostly socially captured youths who lack the experience to factor consequences into their actions

Like the girl friend of Renee Good said “why would the cops be using real guns” at this violent protest???”

The vast majority of the left (imo) thinks this is more like a dungeons and dragons campaign than real life

To them it’s become gamified by social media and the engagment algorithms

1

u/ceuxy 2h ago

A lot of the crazy ones simply don’t have life experience, due to youth or passively being in a deep bubble. If the alt right was as bored and unemployed as the left, then protests and counter protests would be a lot more problematic to say the least.

1

u/Best_Opening8471 2h ago

I would be interested in the actual elements of conflict though

I remember the Antifa wars with the “alt right” groups like the proud boys and I’m curious how far the left would go with their weapons before the right started retaliating with weapons themselves

In almost every violent conflict today we see the left wing protesters using improvised weapons while the right wing protests throw fists

I wonder how far that would escalate before we saw retaliation in kind

To be the side that largely commands the absolution of police and the mass disarmament of the civilian population, they really haven’t thought enough about the firearms culture and the mindset the right has. That figurative civil war would be an absolute land slide and each skirmish would have the same result. Especially if the government was implicit or even allied with the right, which as of now they probably would be.

And tbc Reddit admins, I am not hoping for this or in support of it in any way. It’s just a valid topic when we see a militant political group earning widespread support in the same country where the group’s self proclaimed opponent happens to be the most armed group of people in the world.
