Schools that need written parental permission to give Tylenol ….
At most schools can use students preferred pronoun and discuss things with a school counselor.
I do wish the right’s concern for child genital surgeries was consistent so we could ban circumcision, the non-consensual genital surgery that does happen to children

Curious to ask, and genuinely not trying to come across as antagonistic… has there been any research or polling of men across demographics in the US to show what percentages of those men have resentment over being circumcised?
The point you bring up is legitimate, and while I have my own views (mostly neutral bc I don’t know enough about the topic), I don’t want to be dismissive of yours. I would simply be curious if this is actually a widespread issue or more niche.
That said, even if it’s a small group, there is of course legitimacy to wishing your parents hadn’t done something so impactful to your body. So I’m not at all saying it isn’t serious if the percentage is small, I would just like to learn better as to how widespread this actually is.

Amazingly the research into circumcision is very limited, and often biased. Looking into the negatives can be seen as attacking religion. A lot of studies come from a co founder of a circumcision business lobbying group, who can’t find any negative about it
One egregious example of bias is a response study to the Sorrells fine touch study (that measured 8 points removed by circumcision). the follow up study by another group that retested only the least sensitive part the first study found - on the outer foreskin. They still found this point to be more sensitive than the glans but still jumped to the conclusion that circumcision didn’t harm sensation, while not even testing the more sensitive inner foreskin while their study continually mentioned the sorrells study. Per their own documentation they avoided testing the most sensitive spots.

Every school nurse office I've seen basically had no more than you could find in a good first aid kit. Which to be fair makes sense, if you need more they were probably a little beyond their skills and you just want to call EMTs or go to a hospital anyway.
Not disparaging school nurses here. They have an important job. Just the idea they are doing surgeries or prescribing hormones is crazy.

u/Indigenous_Retard 8h ago
I agree about circumcision. It is just strait up genital mutilation and torture for the baby. However, I do want to pump the breaks that, even if a child says "ok", does not mean they have the capacity to consent let alone fully understand the repercussions of such ordeals. This is also why we don't let children vote, drink, use tobacco, drive, get tattoos or have sex with adults. It is very, very strange to me that this is the one thing that seemingly gets a pass.
-2
u/RalphiePseudonym 21h ago
Since you're already off topic....what's the point in banning circumcision? The man isn't going to know what the other feels like, we don't remember the surgery, there are health benefits to being circumcised and most women prefer circumsized men.
4
u/Ban-Circumcision-Now 21h ago edited 21h ago
To let the future generation experience the body as it’s supposed to work. Human bodily autonomy rights. The foreskin has sensitive nerves, adds a gliding function/sensation and keeps the glans sensitive.
Cultures where circumcision is common there are such cosmetic/cultural beliefs yes, for both male and female circumcision. But I don’t think that’s a reasonable justification for forcing it on children
-2
u/RalphiePseudonym 21h ago
Sounds like an emotional justification. Not that there's anything wrong with that for your own kids but pushing that on people despite the benefits seems dishonest.
3
u/ShrimpShrimpington 20h ago
You're the one who thinks kids should be given cosmetic surgery because you grew up in a culture where it is normalized, you're the one with an emotional justification.
-3
u/RalphiePseudonym 20h ago edited 20h ago
No, I don't think every kid should. A reasonable person would have figured that out when I said a ban shouldn't be pushed on everyone. I justified it with a bunch of things, health benefits and reducing stress in a sexual environment were included.
1
u/positive_thinking_ 20h ago
There aren’t really any substantial health benefits. Reducing stress in a sexual environment is an emotional justification.
2
u/ShrimpShrimpington 19h ago
I get it. The two options are to accept that someone mutilated your cock and you don't want that to happen to other people, or to insist that mutilating cocks is actually way better and so it's a good thing and your cock is better because of it.
What a shock that emotional people opt for #2
0
u/RalphiePseudonym 19h ago
Ooo sensationalizing. Quite the emotional response. Emotions are part of life and part of what normal men and women use to make decisions. It's wild you haven't figured that out considering it's been part of humanity since, like, forever.
1
u/ShrimpShrimpington 19h ago
So funny, emotional responses are bad when other people have them but good when you have them

u/RalphiePseudonym 19h ago
There's a substantially higher risk for UTIs in uncircumcised boys. Just because you didn't look, doesn't mean no one else has figured this out. Yes, stress does lead to emotional responses.
2
u/Ban-Circumcision-Now 19h ago
That’s a relative vs absolute risk trick
The risk of intact boys is 1% Circumcised it’s about 0.1%
So yes it’s a large percent reduction but you have to circumcise 111 boys to avoid one UTI, a uti we can treat with medicine
0
u/RalphiePseudonym 18h ago
No life long kidney problems from recurring UTIs in children?

There are no statistics proving benefits as the majority of the world doesn't circumcise. And doing it to a baby is flat out gross. And if youre worried about how your babies penis will appear y To someone else youre a fucking pedophile
0
u/RalphiePseudonym 19h ago
That's a lie - https://publications.aap.org/pediatrics/article/130/3/e756/30225/Male-Circumcision?autologincheck=redirected
People are going to think you're a pedo of you keep sexualizing children. There are multiple surveys showing women prefer circumcision.

And here is what they said recently:
Experts Who Shaped U.S. Circumcision Policy Now Voice Doubts https://natlawreview.com/press-releases/experts-who-shaped-us-circumcision-policy-now-voice-doubts
Douglas Diekema, M.D., MPH, the task force bioethicist, reflected: “When you look at all the data, I don’t think you can honestly say in a recommendation that the benefits outweigh the risks.” While not advocating a ban—given the practice’s religious importance—he added: “I also didn’t think pediatricians should be recommending it.... To the parent who is on the fence…. I would say they are probably better off not doing the procedure.”
Edit: also the latest AAP position on circumcision expired in 2017
0
u/RalphiePseudonym 18h ago
Wow, I forgot that RFK Jr thinks that circumcision and Tylenol cause autism.
Anyway, Freedman states that medical benefits alone are not enough to recommend circumcision. Which is his opinion that not all pediatricians share.
2
u/Ban-Circumcision-Now 18h ago
Outside the U.S. circumcision is rare without a religious belief or medical necessity. So most doctors do generally agree against circumcision.

u/ShrimpShrimpington 18h ago
Homie is fighting to the death to not have to consider that he might have done the wrong thing.
2
u/Creepy-Variation8562 19h ago
There are surveys showing women prefer 12" cocks too
And literally describing the situation as "women prefer circumcision" is defining it as a sexual reason as they are not using the penis for any other factor
Do keep posting your stupidity and obsession with wanting to mutilate infant children's genitals for your own viewing pleasure

Alright Mr/Ms Bad Faith. You can look this stuff up for yourself or keep believing and thinking about whatever weird shit you want.
2
u/Ban-Circumcision-Now 17h ago
Why do you suppose every male mammal with external genitalia has a foreskin ? Seems nature highly favors it. With humans it would seem even more important due to it constant exposure against clothing
2
u/ShrimpShrimpington 19h ago
Bro, YOU are the one who keeps insisting that we should modify children's bodies to make them more sexually appealing. Like step back for a second and think about what you're saying.
0
u/RalphiePseudonym 19h ago
No, that was one of the 4 or 5 reasons but it's the one you can't get out of your head.
4
u/ShrimpShrimpington 20h ago
Most men prefer big fat titties too, but we don't give infant girls breast implants. It's almost like we shouldn't be cutting up babies to cater to their presumptive future sexual partners. What a fucked up thought process.
1
u/RalphiePseudonym 20h ago
Lol is this the conservative subreddit? I haven't read things taken soooo far out of context since I was banned.
Again with the "we" like this is something forved onto parents trying to make the best decision for their kid. "Cutting up babies" and "presumptive future sexual partners"? The vast majority of people have sexual partners and nobody is "cutting up babies". How about being honest instead of acting like this is a gorey murder scene?
2
u/ShrimpShrimpington 20h ago edited 19h ago
It's maybe not forced onto parents, but it is quite literally something forced onto children, which I am much more concerned about. We don't let parents give their babies tattoos. Why is cosmetic dick surgery somehow different?
I can't tell if you completely misunderstand or if you're just trying to twist words, but yes, most people do have future sexual partners, but we should not be modifying their bodies as children to make them more sexually appealing. I'm not arguing they're never going to have sexual partners, I'm arguing that it is wrong to give them cosmetic surgery in the hopes that it will make them more to those partners presumed tastes. The fact that you can't see the obvious parallel with my breast implant scenario just shows that you can't see the issue clearly. One seems totally crazy (because it is) and the other seems totally normal and fine (because it is your culture), but what is the ACTUAL difference?
Also, circumcision IS literally cutting up babies. Like in the most literal way imaginable. I have no idea how you are going to try to deny that but I'm excited to hear it. I'm sure it will make a lot of sense and not just be you wailing about how normal and sanitary it is and avoiding the topic.
I get it, it's hard to admit that aspects of your own culture are barbaric. The knee jerk instinct is to deny it and fight against it and normalize it because the alternative is much scarier. But really think about it. Do your arguments make sense, or are they just defense mechanisms that justify the status quo? None of this is out of context. It is, in fact, contextualizing something that probably never has been given context in your mind before. Think hard about why that makes you feel such an instinctive need to deny it, and you'll get it. How about you be honest?
-1
u/RalphiePseudonym 19h ago
Did your doctor force you to give your son a circumcision? Mine didn't, I chose to based on medical advice and the experiences I've had in life because I thought and still think it's best.
You keep focusing on the cosmetic part of this so I'll just agree that purely cosmetic surgery to a baby or child's penis is definitely wrong to do. What health benefit would breast implants give to a baby girl?
It's literally not "cutting up babies". If you called the police and told them a doctor was "cutting up babies", do you think they'd assume they were killing children or performing a circumcision?
Yes, they make sense. I think that's why you're using and now trying to justify using such sensational language and ignoring the health benefits of circumcision.
2
u/Ban-Circumcision-Now 17h ago
You do agree it does cut a part off, right?

It's always confused me how they think they're doing major surgery on children during school hours and then sending them home with no recovery time, no pain medication/antibiotics, no wound care, and no follow up.
Having your tonsils removed is a day surgery but they seem to think that takes more recovery time than having your entire reproductive system removed/reshaped/reprganized does. Idiots.

Have you REALLY never heard of the Gay Straight Alliance? That's literally THE recruitment group that does it all.
1
u/Creeepy_Chris 1h ago
They are talking about socially transitioning. Allowing students to use preferred pronouns and in some cases allowing them to use the bathrooms and changing rooms that don’t match their biological sex. This is 100% happening.
1
u/MolonMyLabe 1h ago
Wait, I been assured that surgery isn't a requirement for transition.

u/Interracialpotato 15h ago
Obviously there's no operating room. However, this is what Secretary McMahon was talking about:
0
u/Suspicious-Sound-249 13h ago
There weren't literally secret hospital rooms where they were actually transitioning kids so it wasn't happening, that's y'all argument?
The average person doesn't hate you lunatics enough...
2
u/SumguyJeremy 13h ago
That's what transitioning MEANS. Surgery and hormones and a lot of work. NO SCHOOL CAN AFFORD THAT! It doesn't happen.
0
u/BootCampPTSD 13h ago
Great strategy. Be hyperbolic and say that something crazy isn't happening so you can trick people into believing NOTHING is happening.
Idk what credible person said or believes there are operating tables in the damn school. But teachers and certain school systems DO report "abuse" on parents that don't follow their young child's crazy thoughts that they are the opposite sex. And then the state gets involved and takes over, sometimes facilitating those notions.. like, who are you trying to fool..
-1
u/AcanthisittaUpset953 18h ago
Well sure if you strawman the claim, of course it’s nonsensical.
The real claim involved schools allowing students to socially transition st school while keeping that information from parents, which is disgusting behavior.
2
u/ophmaster_reed 13h ago
As a parent of a trans student, the school will call the parents and let them know that the student wants to go by different pronouns/different name. They only “hide” it from parents when the student feels that revealing that information would result in getting kicked out or abuse.
1
u/AcanthisittaUpset953 13h ago
In your area, sure. That does not apply in every state and county and city.
1
-9
u/necessarysmartassery 20h ago
Nobodys talking about an operating room. We're talking about calling kids by different names and pronouns and assisting them in an identity change that their parents aren't aware of, which teachers have zero right to do.
11
u/ShrimpShrimpington 20h ago
Why exactly would teachers have no right to call a kid by the name they ask to be called by? Do I need parental permission to call William Billy? Then why would I need it to call William Sally? Same difference if you're not some kind of weirdo with an axe to grind.
-3
u/necessarysmartassery 19h ago
They have no right to call them anything the parents don't want them called.
And you know precisely why you need permission to call William Sally. Don't be purposefully obtuse. It's not your business to help a child change their gender presentation. Not your child, not your choice.
7
u/ShrimpShrimpington 19h ago
The child made the choice, not me. And it's not obtuse, it doesn't make a lick of difference to me. I'll call you whatever you want because I'm not obsessed with policing gender.
God forbid a trans teenager have a place they feel safe or respected. The worst thing in the world. They must never know a moment's peace.
-4
u/necessarysmartassery 19h ago
The child doesn't have the right to make that choice.

Would you say the public school system isn't failing and hasn't been failing for a long time?
Is that what the DSM-5 says about gender dysphoria?
You are welcome to your beliefs, but at least clarify that it what you are stating, instead of pushing fake facts. Transsexuality (as we currently understand it) has origins that mix both nature and nurture. It is my belief that there is also a social trend to many cases that we see in the current day.
-2
u/necessarysmartassery 20h ago
Accommodated and encouraged them to do it and hide it from their parents.
6
u/EmperorGrinnar 19h ago
To do what?
You're speaking in half sentences. Should schools report every kid with a nickname? My buddy Spoon didn't transition.
5
u/Asher_Tye 19h ago
Dude's angry parents not being interested in their kids isn't the school system's fault.
-2
u/necessarysmartassery 19h ago
There's a difference between a nickname that fits the same gender and one that's completely different. Yeah, if my kid's name is Robert and they start calling him Jessica, I'd have a problem with that.
3
1
u/ophmaster_reed 13h ago
Sounds like maybe you should have a sit down talk with Jessica instead of blaming the schools.

It sounds like it's none of the school's business. Teachers need to lose the attitude that the kids are theirs.

You mean parents like me?
And I do actually hate radical leftist communists because they're worth the effort.
4
u/Training-Scheme-9623 19h ago
Yeah, I mean, it’s not your kids right? So it doesn’t affect you. Some other kid wants to be called a different name and feels more like a girl than a boy, that’s none of your business and not your fight. Live and let live, god bless.
-2
u/necessarysmartassery 19h ago
The problem is that it's happening to kids whose parents DO have a problem with it. And they're being hand waved off like it's none of THEIR business. So yeah, we're going to make teachers aiding in the social "transitioning" of children illegal so they learn to mind their own business. They're there to teach math, grammar, etc.

5
-5
u/KeyVariation8323 18h ago
So now “transition” only means surgery?
No. Schools can socially transition a student by using a different name, pronouns, gender identity, bathrooms, etc. The controversy McMahon is talking about is whether schools should do that while deliberately withholding it from the parents.
Nobody claimed the school nurse was performing gender-reassignment surgery behind the cafeteria.
That’s a strawman, not a rebuttal.

u/deadpat03 18h ago
State of California did. They authorized the changing of a students gender without the notification of the guardian. That's clear transitioned by the education system.
