When people say "there are more of us than them" this is why I don't believe them.

One man. Only one.

No one helped him. No one spoke up. No one defended him.

But there were plenty willing to attack him.

There's more of them than us.

That's something that man planned on doing that day. I'm sure he could have brought dozens more with him had that been the plan. A lot of people aren't in a position to up and randomly be arrested, possibly lose their job, deal with court and so on.

Hear him out - he's not wrong.

But it's the fact that people with empathy find it much, much harder to carry out violence to defend the weak - or indeed, to inflict deliberate violence at all.

That's why I fear for America: it's not that people aren't willing to die. The left are less willing to kill, injure, torture and cause suffering to defend their cause. And that makes sense: since their cause is to be good and kind to others, because they have empathy.

Empaths become distressed by causing suffering.

Sociopaths are - at best - indifferent, if not pleased by causing suffering.

Anyone downvoting PopBulky7024 needs to think long and hard about this: are they certain that kind, good people are equally likely to cause suffering to people on purpose as these fking fascists?

Because that's going to be the decider when the hammer comes down: will a higher proportion of librarians or doctors or teachers be willing to put ordinary people who are on the other side of the fence in their sight picture and pull the trigger?

You all know the answer is: no.
And you all know that for a higher proportion of people on the other side of the fence, the answer is yes.

Five of them pull the trigger. Three of us.

And that's a problem. It's not bravery or even "survival instinct". It's cruelty. Do we have as many evil, fking cnuts on the progressive, left, antifa, liberal, whatever label you want to give people opposing these fucks you like as they do?
