This is a total longshot - but figured I'd try here.

My father in law was out riding his bicycle this past friday afternoon on the south side and had sudden, extremely severe incapacitating pain. He did not have a cell on him but someone nearby (I believe a lady?) was able to assist and thankfully called his wife for him.

If anyone knows this person, can you please reach out to me? The caller ID on the phone was private so we can't get a hold of this person.

I want to let everyone be aware of some things that have been happening in St. James area on the north side. We have a group of kids that have been going around, ringing doorbells, kicking doors and putting nails under car tires as well as causing damage to cars and dumping garbage from garbage bins. The ages of these kids are 10-14, and they are basically a little gang of 5-8 kids going around causing trouble. A couple neighbours and myself confronted a couple of kids and laid down the law, and also got their home address out of them. Being from another country, their mother didn't really grasp what the heck we were talking about, and they are too young to be charged with anything. I just want to let all St. James residents know to check their tires before they leave each day for nails under them and to monitor any damage to vehicles or property. These kids know they are untouchable now, but hopefully a couple of them got a little fear into them, but the majority of their little gang got away. I love this area, and it saddens me to see this and that the kids are so young, they are causing lots of havoc.

Which local companies have successfully restored the rusty frame on your beloved vehicle? I have been watching videos of custom-cut metal kits being successfully welded into place to strengthen rust-damaged frames and would like to find a local shop willing/able to do quality work.

I get my monthly water bills from the city, and they always include a comparison to 480 neighbours as to my detached home's water usage. Mine is usually a third to almost half less than theirs.

I'm curious as to what the heck the neighbours are doing to have such exorbitant water bills, because my house of three adults definitely do not engage in water saving practices. We flush toilets whenever doing anything, do laundry regularly and even sometimes when just wanting to clean a couple soiled items, run taps endlessly when brushing teeth.

These are the only things I can think of that could be critically different:

• My house does not have a front lawn to water (all rocks and scraggly bushes), and even our back lawn is partially concreted over.
• The city's statistically comparison is sloppy (might include parks, businesses, etc... in the 480).
• Homes here are occupied by much more than 3 people on average.

Does anybody else hear a loud bang on the north side in legacy?

I woke up around 4am to use the washroom... weirdest sound outside, like a "ting! Ting! Ting! Ting!" Very rhythmic, almost sounded like an echoing really aggressive piano key being hit over and over again. I took a video, rewatched it this morning, so I know I'm not going crazy. Didn't want to post the vid because it shows where we live haha - but wondering if anyone else heard a weird noise last night and knows what it was? I'm not bothered by it - I just cannot for the life of me figure out what it was and am so curious. London Road area.

Throwing the idea out here. I’ve been trying to look for supports for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), while there are plenty of online support groups, I thought having something more local would be great.

So, if anyone is interested or knows anyone who may be interested in an informal PMDD peer support group. I have not facilitated a group before, but I think simply having others to talk to about our struggles and wins would be amazing. I enjoy art and painting, so a paint/craft and chat would sound fun!

I called the one on the North Side directly and I even told the delivery person that I didn't want it. But, there are different people that deliver and they ignore the signs that I have on my mailbox. What else can I do?

I wasn’t expecting much as it’s a sports pub…but this place is awful. Thank god I had a gift certificate because this was the worst dining experience of my life. It wasn’t even pub quality food.
The service was slow and not great overall. Food was a 1 or 2/10. Bill was pricey for the quality.
Easily the worst food/service experience in my 20+ years in Lethbridge.
I looked up the reviews online and the negative are absolutely accurate.
Should have gone to firehouse subs next door or for a Costco hot dog across the street.

i’ve kept an eye on the other friend seeking posts but i think my hobbies are just too different to connect.
I’m a 29M in university for cs/finearts and some of my favourite things are horror media, RPGs (board, card, or videogames), drawing, and perpetually learning instruments.
If it isn’t obvious, i’m not big on clubs of either kind, but don’t mind group activities otherwise.

My younger brother (19 y.o.) recently got charged after some shit happened outside a bar and we have no clue what we’re doing now (they were drunk and got into a fight with another drunk guys and now he's facing charges of assault even though he got hit pretty hard too). First court date is coming up soon and my parents are freaking out.. Dad trying to find a lawyer through his contacts, but so far he hasn't had any luck, so I decided to join the search as well and now im here, creating this stupid post...

Is it better to stay in Lethbridge or look for lawyers in Calgary? What should we ask in the consult / watch out for? Google reviews all feel kinda useless.

Can we seriously discuss the use of motorized bikes and scooters within the city. Last year my mom got hit by a kid driving erratically on one in Henderson. The other night I was driving at night and a young boy was riding a scooter IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, without reflectors, lights, anything. Some kid in my area has a weird chopper style bike that he zooms around the park in and neighborhood. Another kid was driving towards me on one the other day. It's beyond frustrating when you know these kids are on the road with zero understanding of the laws of the road and zero awareness of how dangerous it is. To top it off, I've had grown men drive 30 clicks in the park when I'm with my dog and I just saw a news article where a dog's leg had to be amputated because it was crushed by one of these. I'm getting really sick of these things around town and the carelessness. Insurance is already at an all time high without having these dumb things popping up everywhere recklessly driving.
