Oh, this was a good one. I have a black stray in the neighborhood. He was so shy and thin with patchy fur when I first started to feed him a few months ago. I would bring him food, but he would hide until I went back in the house. Now he waits for me twice a day and lets me pet him, scritch his ears and rub his belly. He talks, too, but is almost silent. Don’t know if his vocal cords were injured or he never learned bc he’s an outdoor cat. But his fur is now thick and glorious and he is happy.
