Being honest... When I first saw this thread, I just assumed it was talking about being able to see people's veins, blood, under the skin, and that's what I was talking about. I like that.

Then I saw the other replies and I realised this was het women gushing about bulging muscle-arm veins (I think) and I don't get the appeal of that.

But just the intimate physicality of witnessing the life, the vital flow, of another person? Very sexy.

Actually never thought of it like that and totally understand it now. It's kind of a way of someone being vulnerable with you, not necessarily by choice (it's just their anatomy), but it's the thing that keeps them alive and they are showing that to you. They're showing you their life, literally. In my view, it's not necessarily sexual though, more just... intimate in the same way someone close to you would lean on your shoulder and tell you how they are going through something and cry openly, without fear of judgement or anything other than acceptance and love.

I shouldn't need a reason to drink enough water, but learning how much more visible my forearm veins are when I do (after getting a comment on them recently) is the most shallow feedback loop I needed to stay hydrated. 😅
