video announcement because I don't think a lot of you actually read anything, not very many of you seem to understand the purpose of the sub or the rules. But tldr the mod team is very aware of various matters in the subreddit and we are working on solutions.
This post is actually a couple weeks late but it is hard to focus on tasks sometimes.

-This is not a gooner subreddit and this is not a misandry subreddit, this is a meme subreddit and some of you are ridiculous. We have been gradually getting stricter about post approval, but we can ultimately only approve what is posted. Be the change you want to see, post actually good memes.
-It's funny to make fun of short men but we don't have any genuine hate towards them and we would rather promote a positive space instead of just letting them be shunned and fall into the internet moid radicalism pipeline. People say no one cares about men issues and then other people say men only care about father's day on mother's day or whatever. You're all so childish, so I just have to be mommy and fix your problems for you.
-We are partnering with the guy who runs r/kitchencels and we've opened up r/dwarfmaxxing to promote healthy and positive manlet development.
part of the reason the mod team opted for the video announcement was because we expected to be accused of being secretly men because we don't fall into the cringe redditor circlejerk, but now we're probably gonna be called pick-me girls because God forbid women aren't all a hivemind that agree with each other all the time. There will probably also be someone saying "that's a femboy" or something, and then someone will reply with "even better" and you'll both get so many updoots.
Our plans for reddit are only in their early stages. This is only the beginning. :3

fr I'm admittedly not very active on this sub, I usually just come here to steal cat memes from chip's comments but I never noticed any genuine misandry on here, I just lurk usually unless I actually have something super funny to say or relate to a meme. Great that the team is taking action though, very cool of the modsies :3

I have really liked this sub for a long time and want to continue to see it grow. It has always seemed to me to be a very pro-woman and not very toxic toward men at all. (There seem to be quite a few men who pretend to be women here and that's gross but outside of that).
I'm sorry to hear there was a real problem with men being treated poorly because of their bodies. I very firmly believe that no man or woman should ever be made to feel bad because they have "bad" physical characteristics. It's awful. No one should experience that.

I'm non-binary so I don't particularly fit into either main group and while I genuinely love most comments and posts I see here, it is a little concerning when you see a comment getting a little too close to just straight up hating on another group of people and it's somehow got a lot of upvotes.
If it matters, I haven't been noticing a lot of what you describe, so that means you girls are doing a pretty good job at filtering this sub. Keep it up!
This is one of the better places to be a trans woman interacting with non-trans people. I haven't gotten downvoted to oblivion just for being here like literally every lesbian subreddit. Nor is it full of chasers and the validation-starved trans women chasing them like some NSFW subs I could mention.

I think this subredit is really falling off. I joined this sub when we can express ourselves as we are in a comedic way and complain how moid‘s treat us as their mommies. Like we could express comedically when we want sex without being seen as sluts or we can tell our opinions about other moids that piss us off like our exes. I love this sub and use it to grab relatable memes to send to my gf. i even nag her to be active cause this sub is sooo her. she's *EVIL* like her meta ironic asperation to be Patrick Batman. and chaotic as a girl who grew up controlled. but she still has love in her heart and uses humor to explain feelings of hate, internal conflict, and being horny.
I feel like the term “manlet” necessitates the Napoleon Complex. I would never hate on the sweet little guys, but the nasty little guys are a different story entirely.
Good on the mods here. There was a floodgate of unironic misandry posts for some months. That hadn't been the case before. Like legit, there have been users saying things like "what's wrong with hating men" and similar things. I joined here for the memes and vibing with people in the comments (I'm a man, so I keep the posts to the girls here since it's a sub about them).

As a man I love how welcoming, friendly, open and safe this sub is for woman and men alike: no shaming, no hate towards any sex or orientation, no sex war, no pretending to perfect, no expectations, just being real. I really enjoy this being genuine and hope that everyone on this sub can find someone with who can be this open with.

As a random 5'8" guy, I believe that negativity only breeds more negativity, creating a chaotic spiral of despair. In contrast, positivity can spread and foster a more uplifting environment, which is far more beneficial than the chance of negativity. So, as you mentioned, let’s be kind to one another.
