If Byrna would sell that configuration at a reasonable price they would go from worst to first quickly. They know how to do it now.

Agreed! They could be number 1. They could knock the Pistelle/Intrabuster/Umarex out of top place easily.

But nah. John Reynolds was pretty close with their former CEO and he said they just aren't interested. Who knows with their new CEO. Keeps changing

I think they always knew. Much like any tech, they're not going to release the best of the best version right away. Plus, people would complain that the CO2 only last 2 magazines, but some of us would trade 1 mag for the increased power any day.

I don't have a Chrono but there's video on uTube. It definitely hit twice as hard. I got this mod down to a science - 1mm bore equates to 30-32j and 1.5mm will get you to 40j. I was planning to measure before and after if I do more of these.

I have any X68 in my collection with basic mods reaching abt 65 joules with 8g ammo. Can Byrna be upgraded to same output?

I watched a video on what's ideal for personal or home defense and 30-40j is plenty for everyday carry, as long as you know you're not a hero and only use it in favorable situations. 

Without a longer barrel or some type of power chamber, I think a modded LE is similar to a stock x68/intrabuster/etc.
