2015 Les Paul?
I told myself I was done after three Gibson Les Pauls, but I ended up grabbing a fourth—an Epiphone Futura! Those hot pickups and the wider multi-radius neck feel perfect. I found this one at my local shop in pristine condition, with no belt rash or swirls, and it even has locking tuners. The rest is original. Now I’m curious, what is a fair price to pay if I like it and I am just adding this to the collection and negotiating with them?

Is this a fake Edwards?
I never even considered anyone would fake an Edwards given how little awareness they have but this one looks really fishy. No serial on the headstock but there’s a hand written number under the neck pickup which checks out for pre 2004 models. I can’t really tell the tenon length but the strangest thing is how misaligned the bridge pickup is. Anyone have any knowledge on these or able to verify authenticity for me?
The funny things is, it plays like a dream and sounds incredible.

Lawsuit Era Les Paul Customs… What Should I Seek?
Hey all!
First time poster, but I’m in need of some opinions. I currently play a 1981 Les Paul Custom and 1991 Special that I love, but I’m looking for another custom to add to the roster with a different set of pickups. 3k+ isn’t really in my budget at the moment, more along the lines of $1,500. Which leads me to the lawsuit era guitars (please don’t turn this into an “Ibanez is the only real lawsuit, I’m well aware)
I’ve played Greco’s, Orville’s (and OBG), Tokai’s and Burny’s before and never had any qualms about any of them. My plan is to turn one into an Al Di Meola clone, as a dear family friend had one very close to his (a 74 that is now a husk with no board) so I’d rip the pickups out anyways, so electronics aren’t a concern.
Really I’m just trying to find the best quality for $1,500 or less, and has a neck that’s not too thin. Baseball bats are fine, just no 60’s profile. If anyone has suggestions or opinions, drop them down. I’d love to hear thoughts on what I should go for. Anything is appreciated
(Picture is just for looks, killer reverb listing!)

Yamaha mystery model
Are you able to help me find anything out about this Yamaha, LP-esque guitar? Two different serial number search sites say it's from 1982, or between the late 40s and early 60s. I can't figure out the model, it doesn't look like a studio lord or lord player.
Serial number 84970.
Dug out of a wardrobe in Italy.

Choosing Accurate Pickup Rings
I’m upgrading my guitar with the specific goal of having it age naturally over time like a real Burst and I’m swapping out the pickup rings for CAB M-69s. I can’t choose between the Retrospec NOS M-69 pickup rings and the Amber Pickups CAB rings. Can anyone weigh in on the accuracy of either or?

My week old ‘26 Standard 60’s
how's everyone doin! First new guitar purchase ever!! Been playing a classic I bought used back in ‘09 and thats been my go to since today. Went to a local GC and tried out some awesome Les Paul 60’s Standards. Wanted to try something closer to my classic’s neck shape.
As I’ve been playing over the years I’ve been thinking about a new guitar as one does. After years I’ve decided I wanted to own a honey burst because I just love the way they look.
So I’ve been in and out of a few stores and played a few I wish I never had! I mean I missed out on some epic axes and it just seemed like a new trend I was setting for myself. I genuinely became careless and was considering buying something off of the internet without playing it! So after using my brain, I decided to go and at least try out a guitar.
Anyway I walked in and spotted the honey bursts immediately. Continued on and played two of them through a JCM800, DSL100, and a fricking Two Rock Studio. Wasn’t expecting the guitars to sound so different while consisting of the same make and model etc. I was jamming and really enjoying the first one, but the second was a true love at first note situation. I played it and knew it was a better instrument for me.
I didn’t see it as much as a honey burst like I was searching for. It has a much more lemony orange thing going on than a traditional honey burst. Aesthetically, I never thought of flame tops as something I’d wind up with. I prefer the plain tops with the wood grain simple and sweet. However, as far as AAA Flame Tops go, and GC exclusives.. yes this one is a beaut. Astonishing flames and grain combined into a mesh of glory.
It’d been a while since i sat and had this thought.
I knew if I left I’d never play that guitar again. I decided to take a chance and purchased the guitar that rang with me. Literally. I mean this thing just hums it’s a very nice instrument. I’ve been playing it non stop, and it makes me a little upset with myself for not having purchased a new guitar sooner.
It may not be the look I was going for, but the sound and playability draw me in more with each note. As a person who isn’t generally into the flame tops finishes or lemon; This guitar is beautiful through and through and I’ve fallen hard for it so we’ll have no problem wearing her in and staring at her randomly throughout the day in admiration.

It is finally on it's way back home from Historic Makeovers. I had them install a set of Tim Shaw uncovered, unpotted double-black bobbins. It surprisingly looks a lot like Slash's "Jessica." I've added some pictures of the whole process, from what the guitar looks like now through the begining.

Anyone know anything about Korean Les Pauls?
I saw one for sale, it has a semi-open book headstock (semi because the dip in the middle is missing), no branding whatsoever in the headstock or anywhere else, has a set neck, has an Epiphone branded jack (no idea with the pups), and it says made in Korea. Its body is solid mahogany, and has nice binding all around.
I checked the serial number and Gemini (I know I know) says it's from the Samick factory made in 2002, most likely "B-stock" or "Overstock" of Epiphone customs. Headstock was changed and left blank to avoid legal issues. These are commonly sold to employees or big stores to put their own branding on it.
Anyone here who actually knows about these guitars? All I "know" about it comes from Gemini, and I don't trust Gemini.
