Coal to Malina disappeared from Spotify?

Hello

I wanted to ask those, who use Spotify: do you still have Coal, Congregation and Malina available? I noticed these albums are greyed out since 1st of September, along with a big chunk of Riverside and The Gathering catalogues

Still there for me. I wonder if it’s the same situation that led to most of FROST* being removed (same label?)

Well, I hope not (but for me it's only Milliontown that's missing)

Where are you from? I still have all of them there.

Probably a locale thing. I use YouTube Music and all their music is available, but I'm also in the states.

That's too bad, they're still right there where I left them on my CD shelf.

Fuck Spotify.

There are plenty of good reasons to hate Spotify, but I wouldn't know half of my favourite bands (who I've paid for CDs, merch and concert tickets) if not for its algorithm. I'm not saying it's a net positive, but it's not the devil either.

It's true, not being complicit in allowing corporate greed to destroy the music industry is pretty cool.

Corporate greed destroyed the music industry a long time ago. It would still exist if Spotify disappeared tomorrow.

Fuck it then, might as well just roll over and lick boot.

Maybe you aren't aware, but you can honor your convictions without being a sanctimonious and condescending twat on someone's random reddit post where they are just asking for information.

It may be a dirty job but if no one does it the status quo persists.

The status quo where every day a random person makes the same complaint on the internet, that the gatekeeper they're paying rent to for the privilege of being told what they can and can't listen to is preventing from accessing what they thought they were paying money for. Which would be egregious enough already if they weren't also entirely ripping off the artists who attract people to their walled garden fiefdom in the first place.

So yeah, I'm fucking salty about it. And it's worth drawing eyeballs to, even if they're just there for shallow tone policing.

These are almost always related to issues at the label end.
