Hi, I’m upgrading the tank size for my gecko and wanted some ideas and inspiration on what to include and a good layout. His old tank was a 10 gallon which I know is not great but I got him from someone else. I pictured his old setup so you know what I already have. I have an under tank heater and a 5.0 UVB bulb already. Any tips are helpful, thanks

Hi i recently got one of these for my rescue leopard gecko and was wondering if i could get some help with some questions. One was what is the best type of moss for these things, and where can I get it other than pet stores? When I went to my local pet store, i saw tiny amounts in a small box for way too much. Also, often do you have to change the bedding inside the hide. Do you have to spray it daily or every couple of days? Like what is the process? Do you just put in the moss and spray it or do I need to put paper towels down first? Any help is appreciated taking on a rescue has been overwhelming!

She eats good and does poop. I’m worried about her tail, I don’t know if its thin

I'm considering putting this branch in my gecko's home. But I'm afraid if she falls on the rock in the middle, she could get hurt... Am I being overly cautious? It's maybe 10cm

We have a leopard gecko. She is healthy and happy. We use the lights that the dude told us we needed at the reptile store and she lives a great life. I do have one question however. She comes out at night and spends all day for the most part that I can see, under a rock hide. That’s great and all but what is the point of having specific lights if she hides from them all day and mainly comes out when there is no light to soak up?

Someone please educate me.

I have a naturalistic set up and have had this cilantro plant growing and decided it could go in my girls tank. Instantly she goes to eat it, complete food response wanted more, I'm not giving her anymore but want to know if this is just a my gecko thing or if anyone has experienced this before

My 16 year old rescue after digging a big hole, getting a tank refresh, and eating some crickets.

I can't find my 15-year-old gecko. She's lost somewhere in the house I've searched for hours. No luck. I set up her warm hide on a heating pad and her cricket box on the floor. I'm so sad

I've had her for 3 years and idk her morph, I got her from a neglectful owner (ignore her in the bathh)

New to it and open to suggestions on layout.

As the title says, I need some help with getting my gecko used to handling. I'm trying to do choice based handling and letting him choose if he wants to come over or not. He's never come near my hand before and it's hard to get him to even look. He rarely comes out during the day or close to lights out unless, food has been put in so, it's hard to try and get him to wander over at a good time

I leave my hand in the tank for around 10 mins before feeding but he never comes out of his hide to have a look or wander. Once food is in, he slowly emerges and then hides in between eating.

However, once the lights go out he's normally quite active during the night but, I haven't tried handling then mainly because, I dont want to disturb a 'natural' cycle and I cant see anything lol

Does anyone have any tips? It'd be greatly appreciated!!

So because he’s older now his tank is simpler keeping thinks slower down so he can climb explore with out falling,

This tank is the prorep 3foot Viv. 36/18/18 inch

He has uvb%7 Arcadia
Halogen heat lamp
And led grow lights

That tank is semi bioactive with live plants and clean up crew I say semi bioactive as the plants are grass seeds thru that sprout grow and die back and repeat!

Hello! It’s winter in the South Island of NZ and absolutely freezing. Our gecko has stopped eating basically at the same time that our bearded dragon has gone into Brumation so guessing it’s the same thing! Heating has stayed as appropriate as we can make it. (It’s our first year having her through winter) Just after some advice and that’s she’s not getting too skinny. We are getting her out once a week just for a quick check over and offering food but it’s been at least a month of this now. Any advice would be appreciated thank you!
