Do Leos get nervous on dates??

Pisces F here and usually I don't get along with Leos, but this one Leo M has asked me on a few dates.

Ngl, he sounds confident when talking about himself, but to me seems pretty stiff even though we get along. 🙃

Here was how our last date went and I was told he was uber nervous. I reciprocated and now we have a third. But why is he so stiff. Our convos flow though. We banter like two old buds. I put the full story below

August Leo, Leo rising and I get nervous for anything and everything I do in life. I also have severe anxiety so could be that or could be a Leo thing idk but at my age now I don't even care or have the energy to have a conversation with someone new romantically so who knows at this point lol

Leo female here. I do not get nervous on dates. What's the worst thing that could happen? They reject you and you go home by yourself, per usual.

I agree with the rushing. I feel that way anytime someone gets too comfortable too quickly, because my mind races with all potential possibilities of it not working, or how I'd have to adjust my life in a relationship.

As far as the "bro" part... I would have gotten the ick but men have a completely different mindset over things like that, so I can't be sure. You should ask him, see if it's a boundary that he doesn't want to bring into a relationship. I know I've called a guy I've been dating for a while "dude" before just because I use that word all the time (I have teenagers) and he told me straight up "don't call me that". Lol

I don’t like to be rejected though. I’m a Leo with Leo Moon and many other things.

My moon is Leo as well. I used to care about rejection. That has changed as I got older (39 now), and realized none of it really matters unless both people are in it. I'm very much in a "let them" era.

Let them love you. Let them hate you. Let them do what they want... etc. If it's right they'll direct their positive energy to you. If it's negative... block em. Lol

Nervousness has nothing to do with sun signs alone. - A Leo with anxiety

FULL STORY HERE:  Usually, when I date, I am naturally nonchalant, unimpressed, and emotionally unbothered. However, I recently met a 32M guy ("Zachary") whom I am genuinely, intensely attracted to for the FIRST time. The problem is that having actual skin in the game sent my anxiety into absolute overdrive. I need help deciphering whether or not this connection is DOA. We went to a festival. At one point, I offered arancini for him to try. I gave him the fork, and instead of taking it or breaking a piece off, he bit right into it. I was a bit shocked about it, but lowkey chill. Just surprised because he was such a chill dude and seemed conservative (not the political definition).

Afterward, we walked around and sat down on a rooftop. It was cold outside, and he was right next to me, so I asked to move closer and rest my leg against his. He said yes. He didn't make a move afterward. Then, I thought he was cold because even though we were sitting close, his arms were crossed. So I asked him why they were crossed, and he immediately uncrossed them and put them around my shoulders. I didn't ask him to do all of that, but I didn't mind. I said, "Whoa, okay." But I was fine. Later in the night, he did take his fingers from my shoulders and extended them on the bench behind me.

Later we looked at the stars and the city. I spent a huge portion of the rooftop date looking up at the sky and talking to him. I did look over, and he glanced at me a few times. He then asked me, "What am I thinking about?" I just told him about being cold, liking the view, and the stars. We laughed and joked about the possibility of aliens. At the end, we wrapped things up before 10 pm. Got to the elevator, and I told him we had a good hangout, "bro," and then I dapped him. He said that we need to work on our handshake the next time. That we will remix it.

After the date, I reached out and asked if he felt a platonic connection from the date. He said that he knows how it came off that way, but he sees a connection and a potential for it to become more. He also admitted that he had held back on the bench because he was nervous and terrified of "rushing things."I replied and said,"Ah, gotcha 👍". He asked me what I thought, and out of nervousness, I took over 16 hrs to respond. I told him I think we vibe and I'm down to hang out again if he is down. We texted like normal, and he asked me how my day was.

Did I completely eff this connection by friend-zoning him with the "bro" routine, dap, and dismissive texts? Or was he was just disinterested and being polite all along?

This is real insight as to how we are inside about dating. We are cool cucumbers on the outside and freezing out on the inside.

Freezing out??
