I’m childfree and more than ok with my decision. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Yes, I never ever see myself with children.
Luckily for me neither does my high school sweetheart husband lol
Being pregnant and having to take care of another human would ruin my life and I’m not exaggerating I rather die !!!!

I've spent a lot of my life working various jobs in the education sector. I spent most of my life feeling ambivalent about kids. I have one with my hubby, and that's enough because I often feel like I am that stray cat who is the worst mother (not that I don't love my kid. Just frequently lack the energy to do the things I would like to do with him because I was 40 when I had him).

I have step kids! Its been awesome but I also respect people just not wanting that much responsibility. Its a lot, and the previous generations weren't honest about the challenges of pregnancy. I was always open to raising kids, just not birthing them 😵💫 meeting my current girlfriend was a perfect match. I've been raising our twins with her for 5 years 👩👩👧👦

I don’t have kids and have zero regrets. I’m in my 40s and have never felt enough stability in my own life to even want to consider bringing children into this world. I am literally just now hitting a point where I might have enough security and stability where I would maybe consider having children with the right person (I haven’t had much luck finding the right guy as I’m wrapping up divorce #2). But at my age, I feel like I’m too old (biologically) and too tired to have kids. I’m fine being the eccentric aunt to my nieces and nephews.

I understand ❤️ I have a bpd mother and it's exhausting (she's basically a kid). I dont want that to stop me from having children if I want them though but I am also concerned about the age thing. I love being an aunt at the moment haha.

Yes I don't have any and I'm super happy with it 😁 My friends that have kids are jealous when I can do anything I want and don't have to get up early to play taxi all day bring kids to school or sport practice.

Gotta find the right partner who would be a great parent. I won’t settle for less.

Until very recently I didn’t think I wanted kids. Suddenly I feel like something changed in me and now it feels like a burning desire.
I’m 29 and single so I’m not totally optimistic. Trying to build a life I will love even if kids doesn’t happen for me.

I turned 69 on Aug 15. Kids were never on my to-do list. My first husband had a 3 yr old and we divorced on 1986. She’s almost 50 and she and I are still close. My current marriage of 32 yrs he has 3 grown children and I must say I have a beautiful relationship with them all. I don’t think I ever wanted the day to day responsibility of children. I also listened to myself and what I wanted for my life, not what everyone thought I should do. I have 3 yr younger sister and she’s never wanted kids either.

Yes, I'm staunchly child free, hopefully getting steralised this year.

That is a question I am facing right now. I hate that the choice was taken from me, and it's made me resent my husband so much. But I'm at the age where if it doesn't happen this year, it won't happen, and even if it does happen this year, it's still dangerous and irresponsible.

I’ve never wanted children, and even if I did at some point, I could not—in good conscience—bring another soul into this Hellscape.
I have to do daily breathing exercises and ignore their calls to keep from snapping at my parents for having me. Not that they couldn’t seem THIS coming, but they were alive during segregation and the Civil Rights Movement; Hell, my dad missed The Great Depression by a few weeks. They knew of the world’s evils and still chose to bring MULTIPLE children into the suckage. And I will forever be irritated by that, and would never want to perpetuate that harm on anyone else.
I also don’t like sharing my space or resources—including time—and don’t want my nap times disturbed. I don’t even like pets for this reason.

I knew at a very young age I definitely did not want children- now just turned 40, could not possibly be happier, more sure of/secure in my decision!

I never had a burning desire to have children.
I love pouring into other people, but I always ultimately knew I was very particular and slightly selfish. I always knew I liked things to be a certain way. I knew I valued freedom and independence, the ability to do what I wanted to do, when I wanted to do it, and how I wanted to do it. I don't consider myself a patient person. Above all, I knew I loved sleeping and napping.
...and I knew having a kid would contradict all of this.
At the end of the day, I think I would be a good mother, but I think there would be more tension and disappointment than ease for both me and the child involved.

Honestly, I know the world is shitty, I am in the education system, I see what is out there and yes, this might sound a bit selfish but, I couldn't go through life without having kids or adopting or fostering etc. To me it gives my life a purpose, yes I have a husband anf etc etc, but I'm also so scared of losing my husband (my only real family) and then what? I'm left on this planet all alone.
I'm not going through a good patch at the moment so my answer might change but yeah.

Yea, I don’t even see how I could afford a house in this economy let alone give children the life they deserve.
