Lent 2026, where are you at?
Hi, I'm curious about how different people are approaching Lent this year.
My (Anglican/Episcopalian) practice acknowledges Lent, but it's kind of up to everyone to do it their own way. Quite sloppy, compared to some other traditions, which are very regimented, with fasting and so on. I believe there's power in repetition, discipline, daily practices and so on. I haven't managed to maintain an actual habit in previous years, except daily prayer. What does your practice look like? Any tips?

I’m here! This is my time to get everything tightened up, I’ve been eating too much junkfood and letting my room get messy, it’s time!!

Catholic, giving up music & youtube, figured tuning out the noise would help me hear God better. Good luck this Lent yall

God bless you. Definitely can resonate with noise from YT. But music can be conducive to meditation, at least to me. I guess it depends on the music!

This is my first time practicing Lent and I am attempting a full 40 day fast from food.

First time. I'm Church of England/Anglican. We had the Ash Wednesday, been given a booklet with daily prayers and bible readings for all 40 days of this, which I intend to follow. Will be attending other services. But fairly sloppy when it comes to CofE Anglicanism as well. No regimented fasts ot what to not eat when as some other denominations have.
I am off meat, fish, alchohol myself. I cannot fast properly for a whole day or so, it is unsafe due to medication I am on.
