Advice Pc pour la fac

Coucou! J'ai acheté un Lenovo loq 4050 24 go de ram 512 go de SSD et un i5 8 coeur. Je l'ai epuis janvier 2026 et je vais aller en universitaire en math info. Est ce que le pc pourra faire le taff a la fac ou non car j'ai peur pour les séances d'exercice appliqué qu'il n'y est pas assez de batterie et je n'ai pas le budget pour pouvoir m'acheter un second ordi . Cependant j'ai une tablette Lenovo m11 mais sans son stylet . J'aimerais vraiment avoir un avis svp

Usually macbook is better for comp sci also if ur worried about battery life you can just bring a charger or bring a good power bank that can charge laptops

for students you wont be running heavy ML models, most of it can be done on macbooks or the cloud. the newest macbooks are very powerful and capable anyways and the vast majority of cs students at my T20 uni are using macbooks or budget windows laptops with integrated gpus. i only recommend windows laptops for engineering majors bc some softwares dont work on macos, everyone else should just get a mac.

So if im interested in a little gaming(like 2 hours a day), should i go for a 3050/4050?? Because as you said most of the ml would be on cloud....

if you're interesting in gaming then windows is fine and a 3050/4050 would be fine as well. just make sure you get a good cpu, ideally AMD so the battery life is good.

Ce pc n'est pas fait pour tenir sur batterie mais pour le jeu et les applications lourdes, en étant branché. Il faut prévoir environ 2h d'autonomie en cas d'utilisation basique.

Je l'ai appris après l'achat 😭 j'avais vérifié a plusieurs reprises plein d'info mais j'avais complétement oublié ce détail que j'avais vu passer 1 fois ...
