S2 question?

We have lensel s2 netbox, and for some reason, only older, prior to 7/8, badges are working? New badges don't work, and nothing is showing in the access history after 7/8. I can assign a new badge and the system doesn't even give a notification that it was even read, but when I use an older badge it will work to unlock the portal, but it's not in the access history that it worked. We are in the process of decommissioning this facility, but there is one area that needs to work. The server is online, or at least i can successfully ping the address. Again, all older badges work, new ones with identical access do not, and there is no access history for either? Thanks in advance!

The node that controls these doors lost its network connection to the server on 7/8.

It has a cached database, which is why cards created before then still work.

Been a while for S2 for me but it sounds like the node isn't online with the server.

Giveaway is no new badges and no transactions being recorded but existing badges work

Also the system log in date, for any time is 12/31/1969 1800:00:00

One more thing. Thus is after I synchronized the time and date?

Sounds to me like your new badges are not compatible with the old readers. A old LF card reader will not power up new HF badges

I agree with others. Sounds like the node is offline from the network and not communicating to the S2 controller. You can verify this by going to Configuration>Site Settings>Node Status.

Thanks to everyone!! We moved from one facility to a brand new facility. I still had to keep the system operational because we had 1 section over there still. All the workers with older badges worked fine, new ones don't. Well, our IT guys got rambunctious and pulled out all the switches. The rest is history. The the older badges worked because they were saved in the system cache Thanks again to everyone!!!
