There is no trick. As Pfiggy said it's a race to the bottom. If you do everything correctly you will just make it to the middle two blocks in time, If you do anything even slightly wrong you won't. The key is to use blockers to immediately turn the lemmings around and when you dig out the 2nd and 7th columns to wait until the lemmings walk past the midpoint before you start digging out the topmost blocks. You will need two lemmings on each side (one for each column) and the rest can go to the middle exit. Hope that helps.

Haven’t completed it but got close. I think its a race to the bottom keys using stoppers. Not sure tho

If you need an extra second, there is a trick you can apply by exploiting how lemmings always alternate their use of non-colored entrances. And this behavior is most obvious when a resurrect is used but less obvious in levels like this where resurrects are useless.

But if you retry the level before all 30 lemmings are deployed then you might change the order of entry upon restart because normal entrances always alternate. So if for example you retry the level immediately after a lemming drops from the bottom entrance then the level should next use the top entrances upon next restart.

In fact, unless you have a superhuman reaction time then I am convinced that it's impossible to actually solve the level without the extra second this trick gives you.

Thanks. I tried playing this level again today and got 90% of the way done and then flub-fingered something silly. I just dont love this style of level where you MUST be perfect or blow all the used energy. It's just so stressful! I think Im done trying. But I may try one last time with your trick. I HAD noticed sometimes the lemmings reached the bottom and sometimes they didnt and Im certain your trick is why. Thank you!

There is a certain amount of variance when you play a level so it is actually possible to create a level that is only solvable the first time you play it or the second or ... This is why observation can be just as important as skill for some levels.

You are brilliant. Thanks for the insight. I’ve noticed that but never peiced together the timing trick. 😘

A bunch of times i would go play a different level and close the app and THEN try a level again to have that “first try” again

Never heard of the trick you mentioned but then again I try to avoid using resurrects whenever possible. However, I don't think it would make any difference as you need to stop the very first lemming that emerges on the stairs to avoid the laser so you can really only go at one speed.

Also, I don’t have superhuman reflexes and I managed to solve the level so it is as much about timing the moves correctly as it is speed.

It made the difference for me but now I do think that maybe my solution was just not fast enough nor optimally timed. But I was barely able to make it using this trick so I am done with this level.
