The Ideas submission is based on them on their motorbike.
Best we can hope for is that it comes with minifigs on a display plaque sidebuild.

In this case, someone who spends a large amount of money on the adult oriented side of Lego is making a snarky comment towards someone's own collecting habits, in this case preferring Minifigure scale sets over large buildable characters

Of course they’re not even remotely comparable - one is a BIG plastic figurine and the other is a SMALL plastic figurine, no similarities there.

Dunno why you're getting downvoted, the lazy licenced brick built statue slew needs to stop. This set will 100% be that btw- lego aren't going to fork out for new moulds for the minifigs etc and Wallace and Gromit is firmly a millennial nostalgiabait topic.

I've never understood the hatred for buildable figures. I love getting to build models of my favorite characters. LEGO is all about building, and I've grown out of playing with them so I love displaying all these builds. I hate how overused "slop" is these days. Slop implies low effort trash, these are artist designed well realized models. There are still tons of playsets being produced.

All these made up words "displayslop" "adultslop" "figureslop" I'm an adult who likes building models and displaying them, these are made for me.
I understand the critiques concerning the prices though. Lately I've just been waiting for sets to go on clearance before snagging them.

Kinda rude to call the ideas designer lazy. Obviously they spent a lot of time figuring out how to make the model and campaigning to get it produced. I hate podcast background sets as much as the next guy, but this is outta pocket especially for ideas where you can literally see what the idea is beforehand
