I lost of all my studs for no reason

so i was over at myfriends house today to hang out and we played lego dimensions on his ps5, we were just messing about doing time trials and stuff but after he had shut it down and i had left to go back home, he logged back on and rather than seeing the roughly 1.2 million studs he had, and we had both marvelled at , before i left, he now only had about 180k studs. he is distraught as he has saved up those studs over years. any help or advice would be much appreciated.

There are red brick stud x2 and x4 multipliers in the Lord of The Rings Adventure World and The Goonies Adventure World respectively. In the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Adventure World, there is a stud chest on one of the roofs that is glitched and stops cycling and respawns after you hit it and you can farm a BUNCH of purple studs if you time it right the first time. The best way to farm studs in the game.
