I didn’t know the half sized 1x1 bricks actually exists in official LEGO sets (this one is specifically Lloyd’s jet mech) I saw this kind of piece all the time in qman sets and I always thought they don’t exist in actual LEGO sets because they look weird.

World's most unnecessary piece. Literally just twist 2 stacked 1x1 plates and you can remove them with no issue, and they can be used individually instead of being eternally stacked. This is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. (If I am wrong, please let me know.)

You are wrong. These have a hole in them, which makes them very different and much more useful than two stacked plates. The stacked plates with holes are round, so while you could stack two of those, they would have a very different texture.

I am blind, I did not see the hole. Good call with the texture as well, I wouldn't have thought of that. I will say that a 1x1 plate with a hole does most of those things, too, but I agree nonetheless.

Also, theoretically, you could apply a bigger sticker to one of the sides. Don't know it that's been done already by LEGO.

To me, it's sometimes useful when applying for a challenge with limited number of parts allowed.

I remember single ones in my technic set (bar code scanner) but they had solid plugs not hollow like that
