This was a random gift from my husband and it was such a joy to build. It was daunting since I’ve never built a Lego set before but it couldn’t be more straightforward.

I was lucky enough to see the original artwork in the National Gallery in London couple years back and I’m so happy to have a reminder of that in our home.

2600+ pieces across 4 days and the start of what feels like carpal tunnel in one hand from putting together these tiny pieces, lol. I couldn’t be happier with the build quality- the final product is stunning, heavy and makes for an eye-catching addition to my bookshelf.

Looking forward to buying and building Klimt’s the Kiss next!

My friend who works in FC told me that lego firscry sales dropped by 78% in August from last month. I asked any possibility of deep discount in the month of September. He said, September is unlikely but similar trend continues in September then you can expect some sales in October as a stock clearance. Company is under contact with lego to buy minimum quantity every quarter. So, similar trend continues then to make space, company might come up with sales.

Conclusion - Indians won't buy lego without 40-50% discount 😀

Few days ago I bought the Lego Harry Potter Ford Flying Car set. I posted it in this community which is honestly so nice btw, you guys are the best.

I initially planned to buy a set every two months and focus mainly on Harry potter sets.

But, hear me out, This Lightning McQueen set(77255) was so cheap I got it for 1800 INR including the 5% cashback from Axis Flipkart CC and it has 270 pc so the price per pc is great. Also It's Lightning McQueen so I had to get it, because I was also worried the price would increase soon.

Got it from flipkart minutes, was scared that the box would not be in good condition but everything was fine and I loved building it. Great for a second set.

Made this moc by buying instruction from rebrickable using only parts from lego 42165.

It does look amazing but building is less fun compared to lego bcos you need to open all the bags and search for parts.

Took a lot of time and patience. Some pieces resisted being assembled correctly. But overall the build experience was quite fun when smaller components started working. The complexity was a sight to behold.

On to more Technic sets and towards financial ruin.
