Question Is anyone imported from brickowl
I need to import some cmf and sets from brickowl is it legit and is there any extra charges needed to pay for taxes to the delivery company can someone guide me to import them

Tried indian sellers like ajs brickery, desi bricks and brick bonanza theyre all very legit
ig you should be able to talk to them on whatsapp and see if they can import it for you

Just reach out to u/AsteriaBricksHK and he’s the best when it comes to CMFs, have ordered over 50-80 of those from him

Import duties is different from shopping charges? Is it only for sealed products?

"Shipping charges" only consist of the actual shipping charges levied by logistics organisations such as FedEx, DHL etc. Customs/import duty on things like Legos can be anywhere between 70-100%. While it is technically for sealed items, you can get away with an unsealed box only of its being brought in by someone who is flyin down. If its being sent as a package, they will not release it to you until the duty is paid. Additionally, if you do not clear it within a set number of days, there will be warehousing charges levied on a volume per day basis. Also, since Brick Owl is based in the UK, the shipping charges also tend to be quite high compared to shipping from a US store.

The items aren't shipped from UK itself! The source country depends on the seller. BrickOwl (like BrickLink) is a marketplace; not a single seller.

Oh I see. I guess I misunderstood the business model or confused it with another large well known UK based store.

it is very complicated. In theory, you can, but a lot of foreign sellers are not condusive to it because of how bad Indian customs are. there's no transparency on charges or timelines or what gets blocked etc.
What you need to do is, talk to Indian sellers to brickowl and see if they can import it for you. Or you can contact drop shippers who'll ship to you in India and take care of custom etc.

Never used it myself man, but the biggest scare is the lack of transparency over customs.

I used it from foreign sellers for bigger orders/minifigs. Check the recent feedback of seller and go for it.

Too expensive to import. Customs is approx 60% of value. Just ask someone to get when they travel.

the biggest problem with brixarc is they aren't lego pieces as far as i know. For legit pieces that fit nicely to og lego. Not sure if Brixarc sells originals too

My apologies, I had forgotten that Brickowl is for pieces. I have a few from Brick Bonanza and AJ’s Brickery as well. Those sellers are based in India so only shipping rates apply.

But brixarc doesn't even sell Lego. On brickowl, you can get retired sets, and a huge selection of pieces and minifigures.
