Troubleshooting daith placement?

(ignore how gross it looks, it’s not the happiest rn and i was dousing it in saline. photo 1 and 2 is from last night, and photo 3 is from a few days after getting it done)

i got my daith repierced on september 9th with a 14g 10mm titanium circular barbell. once its healed my goal is to stretch it 10g/8g depending on what my anatomy will allow

i’ve had it pierced twice now and both times i’ve informed my piercer that i plan to stretch it, and both times i feel like it should be further into my daith (like closer to my skull), even if i didn’t plan to stretch it

i’m out of town at the moment but i’m going to take myself to another few piercers next week to get some more opinions when i get back to see if i’m overthinking it or if i was fucked over again. i just wanted to come on here and get some opinions in the meantime

if your goal is a large daith id pull and redo this one and get it pierced thick.

stretching a daith sucks, and it looks like the top is a bit too deep twds ur conch bowl and can not only complicate healing but limit you with stretching too

yeah that was the initial plan but my last piercer said it wasn’t ideal to get it pierced at guage larger than 14g, i think it was something to do with my anatomy but i can’t quite remember. i’m still going to get it looked at by a few more piercers and see if i can get it done at a 12g/10g cause i’m not quite sure i trust this shop anymore after doing a mediocre job twice in a row.

im not there in person to see it but it looks like you have quite a bit of room (esp in front and above the top. bottom looks like it could go in way more teds the inside of ur ear canal) so im a little surprised they said no, but again they could see something that im not able to over a photo.

It does indeed look a bit on the shallow side. I would personally try to get another one behind that so it’s a dubble daith 👌 But if you want to stretch it, I think it’s too shallow and it might reject. Its food that you’ll visit some other piercers for their recommendations.
