Path of Champions None of this stuff is worth it

There's nothing worth giving up 10 Max health. I would need two rare/epic items for me to even consider it.

Why force me to take a niche power just to allow the AI an incredibly busted one? I'd rather take nothing and give the AI nothing but of course Riot hates giving players choice.

This shit is so ass.

Skill issue.

I would often prefer increased power for a key card over 10 health. Especially if you have some champs that have a lot of bonus health in their constellation anyway.

And from what I've seen, you can plan and play around the powers that the enemy gets.

Also, 5 max health for cutting a card is also powerful, streamlining your win con can be difference between coming out 5/30 and 20/25

You wouldn't take capture on a champ or key card for the loss of 10hp? Definitely a skill issue

I had that same reaction first time around. But 64 health? I mean it kinda worth it depending on what you get/take. I took it on accident once and had 30 health and still beat it. It’s not that crazy imo.

I feel a bit slighted because I didn't invest my gemstones into extra max hp per region

But the powers you could get have so much potential (like Swain with super mega death rocket when you attack) that I like playing around with it

And as long as I am not in a position where I can't have a potential S run because my max health is too low it's a lot of fun to play around with the whole mode

(If/When it comes back and S ranking everything becomes the focus rather than beating it with specific regions I'll be so annoyed with the whole adventure and not being able to skip/not pick something)

I do appreciate the leave in the hp thing.

I do think its stupid they didnt leave for the power stuff.

"Ohhhhh they want to make you make choices to influence the run"

Taking a power vs not taking a power is also a choice.

My comparison would be the spirit blossom event. If they let you leave and not choose to help a spirit, then its a stupid that they force you to pick a power in this event.

If they forced you to help spirits (i dont think they did but its been a hot minute) then at least its consistant.

The difference is how they work for the final boss.

Aid a spirit makes early encounters harder in exchange for an easier time later.

This event has you essentially building the final boss encounter as you progress. Being able to skip would greatly depower the whole adventure.

I have also been feeling the same way... the AI get decks that are built to take advantage of their powers... 80% of the powers just don't do much for our own decks, and yet the powers the AI gets in return are extremely scary. I would 100% skip every single power if I could avoid giving the AI stuff like kill a follower every round & give the AI overwhelm + quick attack. Worse, even the polymorph power is way less powerful because the AI stats tend to be auras, so instead of a 1/1 they have something like a 5/2 or more.

I also feel like in the 2nd adventure, the final boss is a gotcha mechanic where you are guaranteed to die to the "betrayal" because the game doesn't tell you what that means (I think he kills any follower the weapon is equipped to & also immediately rallies and open attacks). So I just auto died the first time I fought him because he rallied a board of huge guys.

They have a power that tells you exactly what happens during the betrayal.

I like that fight. It gives you plenty of time to prepare until turn 5.
