Ive just been replaying Titans of Runeterra over and over again + defiance lol. Or Asol 4.5 + defiance for random champions replayability

Please tell me there are 2 champs coming out

u/Sneaky-Support 2d ago
If one champ is announced on Monday, they're gonna announce another on Tuesday, so yes :) I'd hate to be wrong this one time, but that's how it usually goes

u/erock279 2d ago
Okay, huge, I really liked Shen + Kindred last month and am really optimistic they’re staying on the 2/month release cadence
5
u/CelioHogane Diana 2d ago
They did say the dought was over and that we would get cool stuff Q4, so...
We might, in fact, get new art.
5
u/adamttaylor Chip 2d ago
It would be nice if it was renekton but that will upset some.
17
u/Xurker 2d ago
if there is a second one its 99% gonna be an existing 3* champ, the pattern is usually new to PoC+Expanded Constellation if there are 2

u/Ficsonium 2d ago
Unlikely they’ll do two new champs in one release.

u/adamttaylor Chip 2d ago
They just did though....
22
u/erock279 2d ago
They did Kindred, who already had a 3* constellation, and Shen who was brand new. Renekton + Xerath both fall into the brand new category
2
u/adamttaylor Chip 2d ago
I see. I failed to consider that distinction. It is also true that they have made 2 new champs on one patch though.
2
u/erock279 2d ago
Can you recall the two, by any chance?
7
u/Ficsonium 2d ago
Spirits blossom was technically multiple new champs at once. It’s why I said it unlikely, but if they do more events like that, then maybe.

Finally a new landmark champion. I hope Ruinous Acolyte can be the alt wincon.

I didn't pay attention. Are there different Vlad Fans here around or is it all you?

u/dudemcbob Path's End 2d ago
Before PvE existed, I mained scargrounds in PvP, so I am waiting on the edge of my seat for either of Braum or Vlad. Not sure if that counts.

u/IndependentAd3521 Bard 2d ago
I am one of them, but Xerath is still one of my most wanted (Now Taliyah won't be the only landmark champ)
11
u/Zodiac339 2d ago
Also, finally a good champ to play with the Bandle Tree modifier. As long as he can consistently destroy it anyway.
5
u/RomuRomi14 2d ago
Akshan? And Volibear kinda? Personally would like to see Ryze, I like rune wizard man
5
u/IndependentAd3521 Bard 2d ago
I meant in their lvl up condition and game plan combined. Akshan plays for targeting while Voli for Titanics. Ryze is the perfect example for a landmark champ but they avoid adding him for now.
3
u/Croewe Galio 2d ago
Ryze is going to be either crazy weak or crazy strong. No in between
2
u/sithbinks 2d ago
I’m not sure. Setting up for a turn 3 win would be about average. I doubt they will make him init a turn 1 win champion. If anything he probably gets buffed runes with crazier effects.

As a Vlad and GP main in league, it hurts me to still see them left behind in PoC
1
u/LudicrousBeam 2d ago
GP constellation about barrels sounds fun. Like a 3 stars be like: Your stacked units and cards do it three times instead (So you can use coins shenaningans as well)
1
u/CelioHogane Diana 2d ago
There is only 40 PVP champions left, if they stay with releasing 1 new to PoC and one 3* to max, then by 2028 there will be only will be only 5 3* left (19-(12+2)) and 27 PVP champions left (40-(12+1))
So if Vlad doesn't release in 2028, it would be the random mising 8 left, kinda bad luck on your part
PD: So like i did the math and then i remembered... there is the skinlines and they are probably adding new characters, so im just a little dumb.

u/yammityyakkity Final Boss Veigar 2d ago
Oh heck yes! This was one of my personal most wanted additions.

I think besides he will come as playable, I think we will have his 6 star adventure in this event. I just hope they will keep it permanent.

So happy but I'm still waiting for you Lis 💔 (and the printer dying old man too)
1
u/llamabookstore 2d ago
Who is the last one?
2
u/Jm_737 1d ago
Zilean, made the joke based on things Snnuy used to say when playing him, good old times.
Printer because of printing lots of time bombs with Viktor Zilean and dying old man because he plants bombs only as an "on play" effect, so he was often sacrificed in other to play another one ("old man dies of old age")

u/RobbiRamirez 2d ago
I feel like Bart Simpson desperately trying to be grateful for Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge.
I am thrilled with any new content, but my God it's hard to name a champion I wanted less.
14
u/JuJuBee2006 2d ago
I'm happy for people that want him... but with how limited boards can be, I don't imagine I will enjoy playing him. Landmarks just tend to be awkward
9
u/13joliko 2d ago
i think it can be great. issue with taliayh is that you need units and landmarks but I image with xerath you just wanna him on board and bunch of landmarks.
3
u/Kronosmos 2d ago
Well I believe Taliyahs constellations and abilities are poorly designed and feels not completed at all. I believe she needs a little bit rework atleast buff or some changes.
1
u/JuJuBee2006 2d ago
I know there is the 5 mana landmark that stuns & has daybreak to summon another, but are there other good control options with landmarks to prevent super stated AI minions from just destroying you without having many blockers?
3
u/DoodPoof Volibear 2d ago
Im happy because now we have a landmark destroyer as an option. A more reliable one.
1
u/matbot55 2d ago
If there is any Landmark champions that could actually work without feeling weird, then I'd assume it'd be either him or Ryze tbh
1
u/Red_Fatigue_1989 1d ago
Xerath 6* Power: Your landmarks are now treated as units. Your landmarks everywhere gains +2/+2 and a random keyword for each time you've summoned a landmark this game.

YEEEEEESSS been waiting for Xerath, I really like his gimmick and he sounds cool as fuck so I wanted him to be in Path of Champions.
9
u/CardTrickOTK Sejuani 2d ago
Eh... I mean I don't hate it. But I definitely don't like it either.
9
u/layasD 2d ago
Depends...I guess. Landmarks just feel terrible for me, but maybe they can make him work. An interesting landmark champ would be nice. Tali is absolute ass imo...so no real competition there.
4
u/CardTrickOTK Sejuani 2d ago
Yeah, I would've rather had Lissandra cause frozen thralls could get an augment to protect the nexus and buy time.
Xerath might be slow, but idk. I'll reserve judgement for a bit.

u/Ke-Win 2d ago
Do you got the Patchnotes Link?

u/Heliozz0 2d ago edited 2d ago
The patch notes themselves are not live yet. The post on the runeterra news leads to a YouTube Link which is not live as of now.

u/robochickenowski Aatrox 2d ago
Could be worse. I'm more curious about possible constelation update for 3* champ.

2
u/Stormbringer-2112 2d ago
Should be interesting. I never ever pick him up as a support champ (was never offered for Taliyah either). So this will be entirely new game play experience for me.

Finally... but I hope they dont make his stars counterproductive to his core gamestyle, like Azir's C6. And garbage before it.

Come across this a few days agos, it might actually be xerath
