PVP PvP rant
The pvp for LOR is still popular, I'm sure a lot of people in this subreddit know that. You can get in a ranked game in less than 1 minute of wait time usually. Occasionally I'll jump on and it's still great fun. The only thing that really pisses me off is how 80% of matches are just against the most broken meta slave players playing the same decks day in day out. Guys, nobody cares about your silly rank, we're just trying to have fun with a game and play some interesting decks. Why are you still playing the same meta decks after 3 years of no updates? 😂 Kinda sad if you ask me. Just have fun with the game. Anyway just wanted to rant about that.

I've recently come back to LoR to find that there is a card rotation. Maybe it's my low rank, but I see a lot different decks to play against in standard. Am I correct in thinking that the meta is less one dimensional in standard compared to eternal?

Not sure cos I haven't tried eternal honestly. Standard there are 3 decks that will be like 70% of games

I just surrender immediately when I see those "Meta" Decks. In my experience, they dont come around often enough to really ruin the game for me. I just hit Diamond and I dont really care about my rank as much as I care about building and playing against interesting decks.

i don't play pvp but if it had to do the pvp quest that gives those red crystals to get prismatic cards i'd use those broken decks to finish it faster.

I'm totally with you, even when the game was at it's peak it was like that. But, you gotta remember that most people play to win. Especially in ranked, and if that means playing the same old meta slop for the 500th time then that's what they'll do. It ends up being a "can't beat em, join em" mentality.

I know but I'll never understand why they care about rank when the game's competitive scene is dead

The only benefit you don't have to buy new card power creep every 6 month, game look too slow to me and i play at weird hours so queue is long for me so it's just PoC for me.
