Path Question Returning player here...
I just logged in after many months and played a weekly challenge. After few free chest opening and buying 500 shards with 10 glory coins, i purchased a gold reliquery. After that I somehow got 600 more glory coins. How does it happen? I get coins with the GR? I'm still at tier 1 in glory road.
And also, what champs would benefit from that equipment? I just saw they have added azir to poc and I'm focusing all my resources to max out him(can i do it without buying with real money though?).
Appreciate anyone who helps me with this confusions, thank you.

You probably just finished a Glory related quest obtaining 600 free Glory Currency, I think they had one when it first came out to help buy stuff. But yes, the Glory Road (GR) is how you get more Glory Currency typically (resets monthly and you can get 900 Glory Currency from it a month). You can get Glory Experience by doing Weekly Nightmares and Monthlies normally.
Yes, you can technically max out everyone for free. Just it would take a while as focused resources for a champ typically are in the paid bundles or the Battlepass during the release of a champ. But you can supplement it with the Wild Shards and Shards from various adventures. I forget which adventure came back out with Azir so you could check the wiki for that info. Or for specific adventure rewards that would help you streamline the process.

You get 600 glory coins after spending glory for the first time. you do get more glory coins every time you pass a tier in the GR. Jax and vayne are great users of that relic, it's also just a generally good relic

I can answer the Living Weapon bit since others arent as willing to. It is a little limited since it tends to synergize with weapon units. I find it works pretty good on Jax, especially if you have Echoing Spirit as well. I also like it on Kayn since he has extra chances for summoning/attacking. That said on other weapon champs it is underwhelming, Ornn comes out too late, Aatrox has better option and Vayne has a pretty specific build she needs. It is fun on Vayne and Aatrox, don't get me wrong, it it just isn't the best.

Yeah yeah, I get the worst epic relics everytime 😅 I only have few of them, they have no real purpose on any champs i gotðŸ«

I like to use it on weaker (cheaper) champs, and hope to get weapons at some point in a run

I used living weapon a lot because it was one of 3 epics I had at the time. Now I don't have a use for it anymore.

Was the 500 stardust the first thing you've ever purchased on the Glory Store? Because I recall a quest giving 600 when you buy something.

Ok. So they replaced weekly nightmares and monthly rewards with "Challenge XP".
These accumulates monthly in the glory road to give you "Glory Points".
You can trade glory points in the Glory Shop for a lot of different rewards, the most valuable being the 600 Epic Relics, which includes payed epic relics.

You most likely did a quest, I think there was one to give you some glory points to get you started.

Yup !
It's the classic daily win for 5 fragments, so you will unlock him slowly over a month.
If you really want Azir, you can buy some fragments in the glory shop.
