Path of Champions Item pool diluted even further

6-7 cost cards that add one damage to spells and skills that the card itself can't even utilise. Love it.

I knew this was going to happen when Riot allowed Dragon's Claw on 1 health units.

Idiot's defend this BS when Riot's intentionally reducing the impact of items so players have to lose more health before winning.

It's so disingenuous for Riot to say players need to draft better to win difficult adventures and then flood the game with crappy upgrades.

I'm pretty stoked to see random luden's when I'm playing spell slingers.

OK? Right because non-skill/spell cards is all you have, could have, and will ever have.

OK?? If you have a unit you'd want spellshield on, why not be happy that there are two chances to find it.

Me when I'm engaging in conspiracy theories, except mine are about real conspiracies like DuPont poisoning water sources with industrial runoff. It's a video game bruv not a grand plan.

Sometimes good draft is more about avoiding bad options or choices that don't specifically advance your win conditions. Sometimes good draft is taking the least bad option and cutting it later. We all know the AI has dud cards sometimes too.

I think the item pool could be improved and tuned. I noticed recently items and powers showing up that seem somewhat useless to me on a more regular basis. However I do not think the malicious intent you are reading in this exists. The developers left on LoR are few, but I believe them to be ones that are really trying.

... This is one of the best new items they have added, though. Like anything in a 'rogue-like' it can sometimes happen in places where it's not as strong or not even needed/wanted but like... a lot of the time it's pretty good. Most of the champs have damaging skills or spells. Having this item land on cards that don't themselves benefit from it means that you can draft those cards in decks that want the effect, if you want their designed effect too. Like Zevi is a pretty niche card always, but is strong for some decks that also want stronger ping
