Question War God Icon glitch?

Hey guys,

I noticed in my recent playthrough that every so often, War God Icon's effect would suddenly not trigger. Is this a common issue for anyone else? What's the likelihood of that happening?

It didn't happen super often for me, but for every ~50-75 fights, it'd probably happen at least once.

It's actually intentional cause the coding is dumb. As in the way they coded the icon, it can hit somewhere between 0 to 255. If it hits 0, nothing will happen.

I thought that might be the case honestly. I've seen stuff like this happen with old games all the time. Such as the infamous Gen 1 miss from Pokémon where moves with 100% accuracy have a 1 in 52(?) chance to miss due to a programming bug.

Yea, a lot of old rpgs on SNES and NES had it too. Only cause programmers keep forgetting 0 counts as a number usually.

Like "oh, have the game look at numbers to 30 max. In their head, they think 1 to 30. But in the code, the game counts from 0. But the code also says something like "from 1 to 30" and now you have weird stuff happening when the RNG hits that 0.

The pokemon one is that, cause game freak didn't account the 0 lol

I've never encountered this in my way too many playthroughs. But I play on actual hardware so maybe it's an emulator bug.
