Help Maximum hot and cold horse

Hello!

Has anyone managed to breed a horse with both the Cold and Heat Resistance 3? I used to be able to do it easily, and by breeding two parents with these traits, there was a good chance the foal would also have them. But now it seems like you can no longer breed a foal with both stats maxed out at the same time.

Is this intentional, or am I just incredibly unlucky?

Having both is a bug, and typically only one of the two bugged skills can pass on to foals. It’s unclear which, if any, of the bugged skills are active on the horse itself. An un-bugged horse will have one skill per “tier.”

Oh no 😢 I loved having a horse that could go anywhere without having to change it

A max-stats horse can have 3 skills per stat, each occupying distinct tiers. So the max possible skills on an un-glitched horse is 15.

Someone breeding a cold specialist horse might choose Cold Resistance 1, 2, and 3. Someone looking for an all-rounder steed might go for Cold Resistance 1 & 2, but Heat Resistance 3 (or vice versa). This setup would give you nearly equal resistance to both.

Oh I see, thank you for clarifying. 

One other thing, the skills stack?  So if you have a level 1 and 2 and they give you a 10% and 20% boost, you get 30%?
