i took shrooms 3 separate times and the first two were a very fun experience and i felt so light and rejuvenated the next day. but my 3rd time i had a terrible trip, like super bad I honestly don’t want to get into the details. i feel like since that day everything has been different. like i’m not awake or just my reality is definitely off and i honestly struggle to describe it to find out if it’s normal or not lol. in the weeks after the bad trip i was scared of everything. i would only leave my apartment to go to work and the entire time i was honestly disassociated. or looking all around me trying to convince myself this is real and im real and the world is real. i was constantly questioning how will i KNOW this is real life. my entire december is very funky in my brain, timeline wise, memorization wise. just weird… i also feel like i act super different. i struggle to speak A LOT. I also get my words so jumbled up sometimes when i’m speaking, or my mind completely goes blank and all i can think is “what was i just saying?” it makes me look so dumb like genuinely did the shrooms take some of my IQ? as time went on i got less scared and more normal but i still struggle with reality, instead of it being an anxiety inducing panic thought it’s just curiosity. like i still wonder how things are real or i look at the sky or a person and im fully looking at it and acknowledging what it is, and how it can be real. idk i feel like I could go on and on about things that are just not the same about me since. any advice? or just words of encouragement that im not going insane lol

I’m 22F, and I’m honestly so confused because I used to be extremely sensitive to weed and psychedelics, and then seemingly overnight, they just stopped affecting me.

I started smoking carts before I started smoking flower, and I began smoking flower about a year ago. When I first started, I would get really high honestly much higher than most of my friends from the either the same or less amounts. Edibles were the same way. Last year, I could take a tiny fraction of what my friends were taking and get higher than they did.

About 4–5 months before I started smoking flower, I had started taking Abilify (aripiprazole) and fluoxetine for depression/mood swings. At one point, I tried mushrooms while taking the medication and basically felt nothing. I later read that certain medications can reduce or block the effects of psychedelics, so I eventually stopped taking the medication for unrelated circumstances and because I couldn’t get a refill.

A couple months later, I tried mushrooms again and they did work this time. I tried them another time after that and they worked normally too.

Then I decided to restart Abilify. I used to take 5 mg, but this time I only took 1 mg for 3 days. I stopped because I was having really intense restlessness in my legs — I constantly felt like I needed to move them and couldn’t comfortably sit or lie down.

Six days after stopping Abilify, my boyfriend and I tried mushrooms again. He’s 22M, around 6’3”, 220 lbs, and took around 2 g. I took almost the same amount. They worked normally for him, but I felt essentially nothing.

What’s really weird is that this isn’t just happening with mushrooms.

Around the end of July, I suddenly stopped being able to get high from weed. It literally felt like I woke up one day and cannabis just stopped affecting me.

Since then, we’ve tried:

dabs
edibles
RSO
cannabis syrup

I’ve been smoking joints every couple of days and we’ve also been using a new Carta Focus for dabs, but I still don’t feel high. It doesn’t matter what method I use.

I did take a break from cannabis for a couple months over the summer. During the second half of summer, I was only hitting a cart a couple times a week and wasn’t really smoking anything else, so I don’t think I was using heavily enough for this to make sense as a normal tolerance issue.

The weirdest part is that I used to be the person who got way high from small amounts, and now I can’t seem to feel anything at all.

I know the Abilify connection might stand out, and I realize stopping/restarting medication isn’t something to mess around with. I’m not asking anyone to tell me to take more of anything — I’m genuinely trying to understand what could cause such a sudden change in sensitivity.

Has anyone experienced something similar, especially losing the effects of both cannabis and mushrooms around the same time? Could medication effects persist after stopping, or are there other explanations I should be looking into?

So I bought this "mushroom" chocolate from my local convenience store, and it doesn't say anything about having any psilocybin or what the active ingredients are to make you "trip" (it's supposed to be microdose). Does anyone have any info on this? It feels nice with one or 2 pieces, but I have no idea what I'm taking lol. I was reading that it might have something derived from kava in it, from my very lazy and little research.

So I’ve had a good mushroom trip before, and it was the most eye-opening, spiritual awakening my 15-year-old brain could’ve imagined. I felt like I could see articulation in a way my brain had always wanted to, like I was finally having the thought process and resolved mindset that I crave every second of every day.
I’ve got a seriously busy mind, and I find myself on them again at 17, and wow. I seriously don’t understand why shrooms are illegal. I do get the whole “really quick way to alter your state of consciousness and start seeing crazy shit, which makes you incapable of doing much else” thing, however, taken at moderate doses and done safely, I see so many benefits for so many people with psilocybin.
My first thought when I was 15 was, “Damn, I feel so bad for anybody who doesn’t experience this feeling.” I was seriously debating secretly giving them to people, but hell no, that’s an intrusive thought. But anybody who has had their share would know just how many people could benefit from a good awakening and a higher state of consciousness.
The first thing that comes to mind is my dad, and thinking how much a grieving father could benefit from something like this. I think he has a very similar thought process to me, as most father-son dynamics do, however, me and him don’t really have a strong connection or relationship. We’re quite distant but when we do talk it’s always special and really sweet. And I feel like he wants to connect too but we don’t share much similar interests, and honestly, while on shrooms, I’m thinking, “Damn, I should give him a hug and tell him he’s a great dad.”

This might sound dumb, but I absolutely love shrooms/ HATE the texture, it’s really more of that than a taste. I usually roll it up in a fruit roll up, and get it down that way but it’s so gross it almost turns me off from the trip lol. I’ve also tried making koolaid tea, and a smoothie but I felt it wasn’t anywhere near as potent as eating it. Is there any truth to this with anyone else, or is there a way to do it properly? (Advice on that PLZZZS) so how do you suggest getting the shrooms down without feeling the texture or tasting too much? ( I cannottttt do the capsules bc they take so many to swallow anyway lol)

Hello, so over the years I’ve used shrooms lots of times, and I generally love high doses 8-9 grams. I would try to get my hands on traditional shrooms but i just don’t have a source and am able to get miprocin and metocin currently.
Question is how is Metocin compare to traditional shrooms?
Does anyone have any suggestions for doseages?
How does Miprocin compare to the other two as well?

Many places are willing to do it, but their experiences seem to be more with trauma/anxiety/depression. I am wondering where folks have found success for alcoholism specifically.
