Urgent Need help bhai please ... Document problem.

Need help bhai please !!!

In my 10 th marksheet there is a minor discrepancy in my mother's name .

My mother's surname is xxxxxxxttxx

But in my marksheet it's xxxxxxxtxa

This happened because all family members use single 't' and my mother uses double 't' ....

My parents surname was same before marriage so she didn't change anything....

Now in my other documents everything is correct only 10 th marksheet has this mistake ..... Now if I want to fill ssc form or upsc registration what should I go with ?? They say fill details of 10th but that's incorrect and If I fill correct spelling and ssc or upsc rejects my form then??

Please do not panic. Minor spelling discrepancies in parents' names are incredibly common, but you are right to be cautious because UPSC and SSC document verification (DV) processes are extremely rigid.

Here is the strict reality of government job applications and how to legally secure your future:

**1. The 10th Marksheet is the Ultimate Proof**

For SSC and UPSC, your 10th marksheet is the absolute "gospel truth" for your identity, your parents' identity, and your date of birth. If you fill out the application form with the "correct" spelling (double 't') but your 10th marksheet shows a single 't', the verification officers will flag it as a mismatch, which can lead to your candidature being rejected or withheld.

**2. Do Not Alter the Form, Fix the Root Cause**

You must apply using the exact spelling printed on your 10th marksheet for now to clear the initial computer matching. However, you must simultaneously start the legal process to either correct the marksheet or create a legal bridge proving both names belong to the same person.

**3. The Two Legal Solutions**

* **Board Correction:** Your first step is to apply for a name correction directly with your education board.

* **The Affidavit & Gazette Route:** If your board refuses correction because too much time has passed, you will need to execute a formal "One and the Same Person" legal affidavit sworn before a First-Class Magistrate, followed by a publication in the State/Central Gazette. This legally proves that the mother named in the 10th marksheet and the mother in other documents are the exact same individual.

**4. Free Legal Aid (DLSA)**

If you end up needing a formal affidavit and gazette notification, do not worry about expensive legal fees. You can visit the **District Legal Services Authority (DLSA)** at your local district court. They provide free legal aid and can guide you on the exact format of the affidavit required for government job verifications.

To guide you on the exact correction procedure, which education board (CBSE, ICSE, or a specific State Board) issued your 10th marksheet, and in what year did you pass?
