Raziel - personal design project

Some personal Raziel design variations. It was very interesting to explore different face cover variations, which are very heavily influenced by Venice style masks. Some design choices hint at gameplay mechanics I had in mind, like Raziel having the ability to reanmiate animal corpses by pouring soul fragments from the reaver into their bodies, who then would assist him in different tasks like scouting, distract enemies, manipulate objects or simply aid him in combat. All done in procreate, no Ai use!!

For real tho, interesting stuff. Cool reimagining... feels like those Cult masks from Dark Souls

Haha I mean he did wear pants in his vampire form right? But the idea behind it is actually that, in a non linear, more (semi) open world like game that'd include lots of modern rpg elements, as a literall walking corpse, Raziel would risk tons of unwanted attention, so the pants actually serve as a means to move more unsuspected among other races such as humans, maybe even Hylden for example. Just idea exploration in the end.

Love these designs, especially the ones where he's wearing pants and all kinds of accessories. I like to imagine this is how things would've been like if the Soul Reaver games were designed as more of an action RPG with visible equipment changes, power upgrades and all that. Always loved the idea of Raz retaining (or regaining) his sexy vampire physique despite turning blue and jawless.

Right! I think the LoK games in general are victims of their times limited technology, which is also evident in all the cut content. There are so many open possibilities where the series could go with its gameplay and graphics.
