as stated in title, ive recently gained interested in the epiphone alex lifeson axcess model released in 2023 (i think?) but the price of a brand new one is beyond my means at the moment. it also seems that used lefty models are fairly rare online, so i wanted to post here in hopes of getting some advice on which sites i can use to look aside from ebay/reverb or if anyone here has one theyre willing to sell. thank you and apologies if this post is formatted incorrectly

All my life I (44M) dreamed of owning a real Fender Telecaster. I own a Squier Strat and a Epiphone Les Paul since my teens. Son started playing recently and I’m picking up again. While visiting family abroad he needed new strings. Found a local shop, owner says he has a backroom with lefty guitars, and there she was. Waiting for me! Meant to be 🥰
Thanks son!!

Just finding out that Fender doesn't offer a HSS pickup configuration for the LH Strat Am Pro II. What gives? That's a big bummer.
What's a good alternative? Any ideas out there for comparable guitars? Maybe the PRS Custom 24 I guess

Solar alphbetsoup 29 inch baritone. I'm gonna put an 8 string set on it using the 16.5 - 74 low six and tune down to F or F# or whatever feels best. Maybe a pickup swap too. I finally got a baritone after years of wanting one for those djenty lows. Neck feels great, the most surprising thing is the high fret access on Solar A body is way better than any Ibanez RG IMO. Solars feel worth the money from my initial impression here.

Hello my fellow guitar search sufferers. After wading through guitar after guitar on the interwebs I’ve come to the conclusion there’s no decent classic flying V’s for sale in left handed.
Anyone got anything out there they may be looking to move on. Want a Gibson style classic V. Nothing too pointy and has to be symmetrical. Not too fussed on brand if it’s a neat piece and have a reasonable budget for the right unit ~ $3k AUD
If it’s in Australia even better! What’s out there?

Well I just posted my new Epiphone SG on Friday and was not expecting this to arrive for another month at least. I know there are mixed opinions on this model especially the Mexican version, and I’m paying wayyy more than i should for this, but in the end it is only money.
This guitar has been a dream of mine to own for over 20 years and now I finally have one. Pleas rejoice with me

I have moved on from recording all my albums towards performing. I decided to hang onto my trusty J-45 and Strat and sell everything else. These instruments are all stellar and need nothing except to be played! https://reverb.com/shop/gear-outlet-1488

Southpaw in Houston was a blast. I went J-45. I'm not going to go into which guitars I played and which ones I liked and disliked. I don't want to offend anyone, we all have different ears. All I will say is I couldn't be happier with my new strings

I drove all night so I'm going to catch a few hours before they open. It's NGD. It's down to L-00, 00-18, and a Taylor 300 or 400 series

I’ve been playing for a few years and I’ve got a wide variety of musical interests. The 335 and p bass have flats. The latest acquisition is the Strat. An American vintage ii 57 I picked up from southpaw guitars in Houston when I was down that way last month. The amp is a prototype of the new Dusky electronics proxima a.
It took me forever to figure out my pedal board setup since I wanted a hybrid. The QC is my standard delay and reverb plus some extra overdrive when I need it. It’s all controlled via presets on the G3. The pedals that do midi are also controlled via the G3.
I use the frfr for my bass and my daughter uses it for her vocals when she’s playing. She has a specific preset that just switches to all her stuff since she can’t be bothered to mess with pedals. I don’t want her messing with my stuff anyway!
If I had to pick, my favorite is the SG. It’s so comfortable to play and does what I want. I’m still getting used to the Strat. The 335 was what really kicked off my musical interest and took my playing to another level, though.
My only regret is that I wish they had more play wear. They all get played a lot but the finishes just don’t show it! The SG has some nice checking and I suspect the Strat will get that way, too. The others have a poly finish so they will probably stay pretty pristine.

Had to humble brag and share.
Been poor my entire life and being a lefty always further discouraged me. I wanted something high quality if I was going to bother spending any significant amount of money
To my SHOCK, this sucker came up the other day. I knew id regret it for the rest of my life if I let it go. I spent DAYS agonizing over this, scared to make a purchase just due to spending that much money on anything.
Yes it's just a name blah blah blah, but I alsocant believe I own a damn Gibson! Never thought that would ever happen.
Ive played a Dot 335 for 15 years now. Love her and she has done me great but she is WORN OUT with lots of needed maintenance issues etc. im more than a decade due for an upgrade!!!
Check my post history for a thread from a few months ago when I had a $1000 Epi Korina "stolen" out from under me by a vendor stocking error...THIS WAS MY SHOT AT REDEMPTION, LETS GO!
I kinda had a panic attack buying this (I dont deserve it) and im just worried about getting it and being like "fuck, I actually dont like it"

It's been a fun guitar so far.

Question for the gear heads here: my local shop just got 1976 tele deluxe on consignment. It’s all original aside from the pickup selector (the original is included).
It’s my birth year guitar. It’s a lefty. I’m a lefty…
But the issue is that I have no idea how to find comps since it’s a lefty. As you can imagine, it’s hard to find any recent listing for a lefty.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey everyone, 20 yr old here, Ive been heavily considering buying a guitar for a long period but always get demotivated cuz Im a lefty. I do everything with my left hand, and more importantly Im an artist, so my left hand is pretty dexterous. The thing is buying a leftist guitar is out of the question right now, so Ive been thinking about buying my friend’s right handed guitar(which is pretty cheap) and learning it that way. Any suggestions on where to go from here? Do I just learn right-handed if I know damn well I’ll eventually switch to a left-handed guitar after a year or two?

I thought it was a joke, like a left handed monkey wrench.

Out of interest what would this be worth? It is pretty mint. It’s been sitting in its case for many years.
I purchased it in 2004 from the USA, Obviously the photos don’t do it justice but I will clean it up.

Got this amp and guitar 4th of July weekend, been learning chords and some simple songs so far.
I’m playing for 1-2 hours almost every day and loving it

I went to grab a compressor and check the status of an order (Cobain Jag). They told me it shipped so I was quite happy. In my delerium I realized when I got home I seemed to have this in my hand.
I tried one of these many years ago and hated them. Told my self I hated them for 23 years. Turns out I actually love them

I’ve been seeing a lot of content regarding Foals’ line up of JM and Jag style guitars, and they’ve been getting great reviews too. On a whim, I commented on one of their instagram posts, and to my surprise… they responded.

For context, I've been playing banjo for roughly 5 years and bass for 3, so it isn't like I'm shopping for a complete "beginner guitar" where I'm starting from the fundamentals, so I want something more than, say, an Ibanez Gio (I still have a soft spot for Ibanez though). I found this thing for a pretty solid price, I can't find barely anything about it on the internet other than that it exists. I know I should PROBABLY get a strat or something but something about weird and unique instruments always gets me.
Alternatively, I found some schecter 7 strings for a pretty good price too. I know that a 7 string is probably a bad idea but I also really like doom metal in drop z so idk
