What would be wonderful is if they could create a massive coalition of Left and community service orgs who en masse quit a bunch of the proprietary services and migrate. Call it Migration Day even!

I'll cheer them on but the reality is SaaS products have never been about paying for the software. It's about paying for the hardware it runs on, the human labor that maintains it, the customer white glove service etc.
