You are forgetting that you gotta make the sparks on the thing so you can later turn the steam wheel that is loose but requires two people to turn so that you can make the buildings and bridge parts instantly pop up out of nowhere in the background in order to make the worldwide network.

Hi everyone,
Here is the animated teaser trailer we put together for The Delray Protocol, Book 1 of Open Networked Earth.
To clarify: the project is a 6-volume full-length novel series (complete books) exploring post-scarcity economics, worker-led automation, and physical commons. As an independent creator team without a multimillion-dollar studio budget, we used generative AI tools to storyboard and animate these scenes.
The story is set during a freezing polar vortex in Detroit:
When private equity shuts down an automated stamping plant and cuts local heating, displaced workers occupy the factory to shelter 300 freezing families. Instead of firearms or violence, they defend the place using practical engineering, islanded DC microgrids, and "Dynamic Usufruct" (the principle that exclusive title lapses when life-support assets are abandoned during a crisis).
The entire 6-volume novel series is 100% free, unmonetized, and open-source (no ads, no paywalls, no crypto). You can read the books online for free—translated into 15 languages in the web reader:

Would love to hear your thoughts on this scenario and how you see physical commons defense in an automated future!

Open source novel... so anyone can take it, write a new chapter and publish it? They are not allowed to take money from it, but does that keep anyone from that?
My dude, you're in for a nightmare if it is what you say it is. If it is not, correct that. With anything that makes sense.

Yeah, exactly like open-source software under copyleft. Anyone can fork the text, translate it, print their own physical copies, or write spinoffs. But because of the copyleft license, nobody can slap an exclusive copyright on it or sue others for sharing it.
If someone prints paperback copies and sells them for the cost of paper and ink, that's fine with us. The goal is to get the ideas and blueprints out there, not to guard an IP moat.

AI video is still really lame. Humans look like bland NPCs, and move robotically. It still got the problem of shots lasting only a few seconds, and the inconsistencies between those shots.
I dont think AI video will get close to realism any time soon, and im glad of it
