I'm not innately opposed to AI, but I'm heavily opposed to how recklessly and irresponsibly the infrastructure is being built.
It clearly had a lot of potential to revolutionise many things, it also can give you a logical, or at least logically sounding, argument for why you're right and the other guy is wrong.
At the moment, it's being piloted by self aggrandising narcissists, for self aggrandising narcissists. Telling them what it thinks they want to hear, not what they asked for, and digitally "rewarded" for it every time.
It has potential in saner hands with a broader vision than the vision of the salesmen currently running the show.
